I recently had a surgical procedure at the surgical center within Mountain View Hospital in Payson, Utah, and I can't say enough good things about my experience! From the moment I arrived, the entire staff made me feel like I was their top priority. They were incredibly personable, taking the time to chat with me, answer all my questions, and ease any pre-surgery nerves with genuine warmth and kindness.
What stood out most was how caring and attentive everyone was--nurses checked in frequently, ensuring I was comfortable every step of the way, and the doctors and support team explained everything clearly without rushing. The process was remarkably fast and efficient, yet never felt hurried; everything ran smoothly from check-in to recovery. Their professionalism was top-notch, with state-of-the-art facilities and a team that clearly knows what they're doing.
In a world where healthcare can sometimes feel impersonal, Mountain View truly lives up to its commitment to treating patients like family. I left feeling well taken care of and recovered quickly thanks to their expertise. If you're in the Payson area and need surgical care, this is the place to go--I highly recommend it without any hesitation! Thank you to the amazing team for making a stressful day so positive. Dr. Anderson is an amazing doctor and work extra hard getting my insurance to approve my nerve stimulater battery replacement and I also want to give a big shout-out to Samantha Bates his office coordinator she a was a huge help in getting this procedure across the finish line. Thank you so much. Marry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Just as everyone, I did not wake up and decide "hey you know what would be fun? Going to the ER". However that is exactly what I did. As much as I do not like going to the doctor, the nurses (Lacey and Karlee) EMT (Linda) and Dr. Meyer made my visit amazing! They were really quick with getting me in and seen and had me out in no time! I really appreciate that ER and they really did treat me as if I was "a close family member"! I will definitely be going to Mountain View ER if me or my family need them again!

I was napping and a heavy pressure was surging in my chest that wouldn't subside, along with trouble breathing. The ER got me in quick and stabilized my vitals....stayed overnight to have a Nuclear Stress test next morning. All ares of medical expertise, from aides, nurses, doctors & technicians were considerate, helpful & timely.

I have had a serious mental illness for 16 years, and despite my best efforts, I have lost track of the number of episodes of mania/psychosis I've had. I've been to almost every mental hospital on the Wasatch Front (except the U). This is the best one, it's not even close.
If I had to pinpoint the reason, I would say no one dehumanized me. People who work in mental health get jaded. It feels like you're seen as some combination of stupid/criminal/not an adult. They don't see you in your real life when you're well. The staff here are absolutely phenomenal and always treated me like a person even when I was paranoid about them when I first arrived.
In the mental hospital, every patient has one persistent concern: when do I get to leave? (even if they checked in themselves) I didn't hear that a single time. Most keep you at least 7-10 days. They let me go as soon as I was better.
They worked hard, nurses and techs physically exerting themselves almost their whole shifts to make sure we had what we needed (they were not understaffed, that is just the nature of the work, the patient to caregiver ratio was actually extremely good too). Rec therapists fun and engaging. The doctor was compassionate. They give you so much autonomy about taking a nap when you want, joining activities when you want). That also makes you feel like you're an adult (I'm in my mid-40s)
I just can't say enough good things. The food was also phenomenal and cooked with care (I even got a really pretty flower with one meal).
I already told my family member to please drive me down to Payson should I have another episodes (finally found a medication that prevents most of them). Thank you for treating me with such care Mountain View! I'll never forget it.

I went into the emergency room for chest pains at 11:00 AM. The lights were out - no one was at the reception desk. After a few minutes someone came in and said, Oh... I didn't hear you in here.
The emergency room staff were AWEsome. The hospital staff was terrible. One specific instance... I had a stress test with a nuclear injection to check my heart function. I was told the nuclear agent would only "act" for 2 minutes and helped to stimulate strenuous exercise. I had a reaction to the injection - my muscles contracted to the point I couldn't move. After 15-20 minutes the tech decided he needed to take me back to my room because my blood pressure wasn't stable and my chest was so tight because of muscle constriction (not heart related) that I was having a hard time breathing. I had to be lifted off of the table and once I was back in my room, lifted into my bed. My nurse came in an said she'd bring me a warm blanket to calm me down - she didn't do anything to check my vitals - blood pressure was all over the place... Highs were in the 150's, lows were around 96, but she was treating the reaction as anxiety. It took nearly 45 minutes before I could move my hands and feet. The dr. suggested an anxiety medication, and by the way, I saw the dr. for a max total of 5 minutes when I was admitted, and the same when I decided I was leaving the hospital. The dr. bill was $3K. They were so condescending - I'd NEVER go there again. And the food was terrible!!
