I experienced an aortic dissection that came on without any warning. Dr. Melby was called to attend once the ER staff figured out what was happening to me. Dr. Melby took expert care throughout the surgical process, gathering a team of experts to attend and was successful in repairing both the ascending and descending ruptures. His attention to detail was remarkable and the scar left is hardly noticeable. He took great care of my family as well, explaining what had happened, what he did to repair it, and what my prognosis was. I cannot thank him enough and am so grateful to be blessed to have him available during such a harrowing experience.
