Henderson Medical Plaza

I showed up to emergancyff walked told to sit down no one said anything to me.i watch for a min. While they took other people walking in the door. I went up to the front and made my self seen. Nothing so i left.

I went to Henderson medical center for wound care, and everybody there was absolutely awesome. There was no pain involved. I went 3 times I wish I could have kept going because they were so nice. I am going to go there for anytime. I need any of the wounds or anything that I have done. I'm going to them to have them take care of Any wound care that I need taken care of I know that sounds funny. How? I'm saying it, but I don't care that facility that I went to wound care on the 1st floor was awesome.

I had Karen as the person to take my blood. She was very professional and made me feel comfortable with my anxiety while giving blood. she was AMAZING made me laugh and was the only doctor I've ever had to ask if I was doing okay. I absolutely loved my experience. I will get my blood drawn from her any time. Thank you so much Karen for my amazing experience.

Facility is no doubt nice and clean. That's one star. The other is for the professionalism of Melissa at the front desk area, although when I arrived there was no one at the front desk to speak to for a few minutes. Here I am going to a pre-OP appointment for a surgery scheduled in a few days. They are going over my financial responsibility and surgery is around $2,000 (which doesn't include the charge for my specialist who's doing the actual surgery). So here they say if I can't pay the full amount, I will have to pay 50% upfront. Now come on! Which average american just has $1000-$2000 to just hand over at any given moment? Not many!! I tell them I can't pay and would like a payment arrangement. They tell me the least they will except is over $800. With no regard to the reason I have to have surgery in the first place they said if I dont have over the $800 requested they will not be accepting my surgery to take place there. I will never be going to Henderson hospital or its affiliates. God forbid something happens to me! And when I tried to explain this to Beatriz (the financial advisor), she said well if it was an emergency you would be coming to our emergency room and not scheduling an appointment for outpatient. So much for human kindness in regards to someones health! Just because its scheduled doesn't mean its less important to be taken care of!!!! My doctor referred me to prevent it turning into a an emergency degree holders! Me nor my family and friends will be coming here again.

Although the center is spotless clean with floors you could practically eat off of, which deserves 5 stars on its own, the nursing staff is the reason for this 2 star rating. The nurses were uncaring, incompitent and coughed all over the place without using using hand sanitizer afterwards! One nurse in particular pranced around like a TV nurse. For a health facility focused on preventing germ exposure, she wore her hair down flopping around, false eye lashes and makeup and not to mention, NO gloves! The Doctors walk around the parking lot dressed in their scrubs and booties then enter the facility. Aren't they supposed to wear those just before surgery? And the Doctor that was supposed to perform my surgery, didn't have all of the paperwork and the nurses made excuses, but revealed they had issues with this Doctor doing this to other patients. Wow, I sure picked a doozy! They got upset too that I cancelled the procedure and that my mom sat present in the room. Come on, she's my mom and you're damn right she's going to be there. I just didn't get a good feeling and always follow your gut! And to top it all off, the nurses stated this was a new procedure for them.
