Kansas city pediatric cardiology associates

Great place with loving and concerned staff. Our child is cared for in the best possible way. They listened to us as parents and took the time to do the testing we needed to ease our mind. As a result, they discovered our child's heart was deformed. We had previously gone to KU Med Center's Pediatric Cardiology who refused to do an ultrasound of our child's heart who had a murmer. We insisted, but they said its not necessary because murmers are common and the way this one "sounded" was not alarming. We left upset and ignored (having recently had a different child with a heart defect who underwent surgery at Children's Mercy- awesome, too, by the way). We found KC Pediatric Cardiology and they were wonderful and took the time to do the imaging, identifying the defect.

The cardiologists are excellent. However the wait time is not great. My daughter has had three appointments and each time we have been in the office for just under two hours. Waiting in a patient room for an hour or more. I wonder if there is a better way to schedule patients so they have even just 30 minutes waiting in a room.

I was searching for an alternative cardiologist for my son needing routine check-ups. Childrens has been just fine, but I'm not ok paying hospital prices for outpatient services. I finally found this group. We got in timely, and the doctor was personable, efficient. We had a great experience for 1/8 (literally) of the cost of going to CMH. If you're looking for an affordable alternative to what I previously believed was the only other kids cardiology option in town, I would suggest going here.

Great experience. You can tell they genuinely love kids.
