Misdiagnosis and mistreatment on my husband with COPD for two years and he didn't have it! We went to him saying a nurse thought that's what he had...he just went with it. No tests, nothing. We didn't know!! He's the Dr! He did tests eventually, but they were false positive results as he gave breathing treatments during the tests and said he'd live to be 80!
My husband almost died! He had IPF! Needed an immediate lung transplant! Thank goodness for the Mayo Clinic!

I've seen Dr's for my Pulmonary problems from as far away as Denver CO. to Charlotte NC and here in the little ole city of Panama City and I'm telling any who will listen that none of them has the talent, knowledge and compassion that Dr Moriarty has shown me over the last 20 years. The staff is equally amazing and go out of their way to help make sure all of your needs are met. Bobbie has gone so much further than her job duties require to help me and even the newest members of the crew follow her lead. A big applause to the entire office and so much special recognition as well is deserving to this wonderful medical establishment. God Bless you all.

In December 2017 I was overtaken by toxic fumes from cleaning chemicals and taken to the hospital. Shortly afterwards I began to have breathing issues. In April I had a chest x-ray and a Pulmonary Function Test, and was given an Albuterol rescue inhaler. The pulmonary test showed that I had a lung defect. I was then given a referral to see Dr. Timothy G. Moriarty.
In May, Dr. Moriarty put me on 200mg Breo and Singulair. In June I told Moriarty that I was not able to tell if the medication was helping so he lowered my Breo to 100mg and changed my rescue inhaler to Levalbuterol because the Albuterol inhaler made me jittery. Dr. Moriarty told me that at first he was leaning towards Restrictive Airway Disease, but now he was leaning more towards Asthma.
On 15 June I had a breathing incident at a laundry mat. After 40 minutes in that environment I felt like I could not get my lungs to expand. I had left my rescue inhaler at home so I rushed home as fast as I could and called Moriarty's office on the way. The receptionist said the doctor was not in and she would try to call him.
Dr. Moriarty's receptionist called me back and said I needed to go to the ER. The ER monitored my oxygen level which was a continual 100 percent. They ran a lot of tests but nothing came back negative and I was eventually released with some steroids and antibiotics.
At my next appointment with Dr. Moriarty on 20 June, I said hello to him but he said nothing to me. He opened my chart and asked me what the ER did and what they came up with. I explained everything and mentioned that when I realized I did not have my rescue inhaler that day, I started to panic which made my breathing worse. I then asked Moriarty if he knew what Reactive Airway Dysfunctional Syndrome was because it could happen to someone who had a one-time traumatic event like my episode in December. Everyone kept saying that what happened to me in December had nothing to do with it, but that is when my issues started, and I said that I knew he was leaning more towards asthma.
Dr. Moriarty became defensive and told me not to put words in his mouth and called me a liar for making that comment. When I tried to tell him about previous appointments, he told me that if I was going to argue with him then we will just stop here.
He told me "you don't have Reactive Airway Dysfunctional Syndrome because you said you were in a full blown panic attack when you got to the hospital." He then said "You don't have asthma. You need to see a psychiatrist to address your panic issues." He slammed my records shut and said "we are done here and I can't help you."

Where can I start. If I was able to put zero stars I would. My mother who is a retired Air Force vetran has been struggling with breathing issues for about 6 months now. She had a chemical spill back in December and has had trouble breathing since then. She was referred to Dr. moriarty through tri care. He did no tests but diagnosed asthma right off the bat. When my mom was sent to the ER with an attack the dr told her that she should talk with dr. Moriarty about the possibility of it being something other than asthma. As soon as my mom mentioned this to Dr. Moriarty he freaked out. CALLED MY MOM A LIER AND TOLD HER SHE NEEDED TO SEE A physiatrist for mental health. My mom who also suffered from anxiety was told to leave he office and he offered no new meds to try and help her. She is left with a half empty emergency inhaler and no hope. Hoping this review can help other people. Stay far away from this man. He is the devil in disguise. I hope he does some serious soul searching.

Dr. Moriarty's wife came in to Smokin' Vapor on Panama City Beach and asked us to take his name from our list of approving doctors, stating that her husband was a scientist and he said there is 'antifreeze' in the American Made refills for our electronic cigarettes.
So we thought we would let you know that his name has been removed from our list.
There are many other doctors on the list, doctors that we have heard from, that approve of their patient's using one of our ecigs in place of disease/cancer laden cigarettes.
