Mark Simmons MD

I once thought very highly of Dr. Simmons. My parents were patients of his for well over twenty years and our family had great trust in him. Sadly, that trust was misplaced. On three separate visits, Dr. Simmons diagnosed my beloved father with a pulled muscle. In reality, my Dad had cancer and critical time was lost due to Dr. Simmons' misdiagnosis and failure to run any additional tests. By the time my Dad received the proper diagnosis, his cancer was stage four. It was not a winnable battle due to the late diagnosis. My father put up a brave fight, but the insidious cancer won. My Dad should still be here enjoying his retirement and his family. He never had a pulled muscle and my brokenhearted family will never be the same.

Dr. Simmons has been my primary care doctor for over 10 years. He is up to date on current research, has a calm, reassuring and professional demeanor, and is very thorough. I feel comfortable asking questions. He delivered the news to me that I had breast cancer and referred me to excellent oncology providers. The manner in which he delivered the news was just right for me. I am grateful for the excellent care I've received.

I was having a terrible problem with high blood pressure and rapid pulse, I saw an endocrinologist and cardiologist, they both blew me off and implied I was a hypochondriac. He was the first to really listen to me and ordered a scam. He found a very large, life threatening tumor on my adrenal gland. A phyochomocytoma. He his very personable, listens, and is very good in diagnostics!

I have been seeing Mark Simmons for maybe 3 years, nice guy but; when I presented him with a very personal and intimate problem 2 years ago, with a problem I have faced for the entirety of my life regarding my circumcision that was forced upon me at birth, he laughed in my face and practically told me I didn't know anything about my own body. As of today I will no longer have Mark Simmons and UCHeatlth as my primary medical provider. *I would have liked to give a no star review but it wouldn't let me post it.*

Dr. Simmons is a wonderful doctor. He's helped us with our two boys. We love how much he listens and he really spends time at each appointment and explains everything thoroughly. We highly recommend him.
