I delivered my baby at this hospital, and as a first time mom I was extremely nervous and scared regarding treatment and aftercare. Sometimes nurses and doctors become so desensitized because they see these moments multiple times. I can say I have never experienced such grace, professional, kindness, and support from a hospital like I did at Baylor's L&D! Every single nurse I encountered was great! They gave it there best and whether it was night or day they had the best attitudes and were soo amazing!! It truly made both my labor and after care such an amazing experience. I am blessed to have been treated by such great ladies! They were amazing!!!! Thank you too all my nurses Lauren, Emilie, Jen, Charlie, and to the wonderful lactation specialist as well Monica. Everyone was just wonderful I had the absolute best experience! Also, my OB Dr. Brown! He was so calm in the midst of my panic and allowed me to feel in control of my delivery, which gave me peace to have a wonderful experience. 5 Stars all around!!

- The surgery itself was smooth. Great nurses and doctors. The office staff, not so much.
- Make sure you ask EVERY question you can possibly think of before you have surgery. Because they WILL NOT return your phone calls. I've called 3 times and left messages, their answering machine says they'll call back by 4 pm same day. I'm now on day 4 of RADIO SILENCE.

My experience with BSW Waxahachie has been pretty awesome so far.
The receptionists both were great.
I tend to ask lots of questions.
Neither of the ladies made me feel as if I was bothering them. You guys do know that feeling, right, it wasn't there, at all.
And the friendly, 'you matter' feeling continued. The imaging tech was excellent!! From the second she came to the lobby to guide me to the mammogram room until she had to contact me the next day concerning previous images. Her 20+ years with BSW really really showed. Thank you for the wonderful service.

I was admitted to ICU primarily because my blood pressure was low. I informed the fireman that my blood pressure always runs low and that it is hereditary as my mother's blood pressure is a normal low as well. Because I was having a few other issues and they assumed correctly that I had a pretty severe UTI which would also make my blood pressure run low I agreed to be taken to the hospital and that's when they decided to admit me based on my low blood pressure. The thing that irritates me the most, and the reason I didn't give five stars, is because the doctors refused to listen to me when I informed them about my low blood pressure and also and probably most importantly, they neglected to call my Primary Care Physician or my Spinal Cord Doctor who could have quickly informed them that my blood pressure was stable at a low number. Unfortunately, the doctors spent the next three days pumping me full of blood pressure medication, 2 IV blood pressure meds as well as 2 blood pressure pills. This was all in an effort to "stabilize" my blood pressure to a number they were comfortable with. After three days of this they decided my blood pressure is consistently low without any adverse reactions. So now I have to look forward to a very expensive ICU stay hospital bill. I don't understand why doctors won't listen to their patients, they could have even read my past records and would have seen that I have a normal low blood pressure.
The Baylor Scott and White Waxahachie hospital is a very nice, caring and compassionate care facility. I give prompts and kudos to every staff member I met, to include the janitorial staff. I met an elderly man named Doug who cleaned my room so thoroughly and was extremely kind and friendly. I also met a lady by the name of Kathy who worked in dietitian, I just loved her spirit, so incredibly sweet and compassionate, she took her job seriously and made sure I understood everything with the menus and offered more than once to assist me and the only reason I came up with was because she took notice and assumed correctly that I must be disabled and couldn't complete it on my own. Everyone at this hospital went above and beyond to care for me. Even in my irritation I have to give credit where credit is due, and all of my doctors are truly professionals and didn't leave a rock unturned when it came to my care there during my stay. Many, many thanks and may God bless each and every one of you!!
