UT Health East Texas Heart & Vascular Institute- Cardiology, an outpatient department of UT Health North Campus Tyler

Several issues, Dr. Robert Smith referrals are lacking. He's a good Doctor, sort of, he did a couple of stints over the years, but?? the staff reflects back to the Doctor, and I won't be returning to him. I need a vascular surgeon for an aortic aneurysm which the size needing surgery. The referral surgeon hasn't had courtesy to acknowledge the referral. When called Dr. Smiths office, nothing, girl said "we sent the referral", period. I guess after the referral, they're out of the loop. This is not acceptable for a professional cardiologist. Second, for major heart issues you're better off to the emergency at a hospital in Dallas. So I'm changing to a cardiologist in Dallas at UT Southwestern. I give up on back water assembly medicine and staffing. I want a good doctor and staff, CVC is not it, not just a billing source.

My wife uses Dr. Robert Carney and is in great hands. The office staff is professional and all of the techs are helpful and knowledgeable. Dr. Carney is the best cardiologist she has ever had. If you are looking for a cardiologist, you should seriously consider the best team in East Texas.

I had a series of 3 tests which required short waiting periods in between but I was zipped rt thru. All the staff I came into contact with were very helpful, sweet, attentive and highly skilled. They truly made an entire day of testing happen in the space of 2 hours and 15 minutes. God bless you, CVC!! - Susan Womack

Can't tell you how much I love Dr. Davis. He's been my cardiologist for years, referring me for my AVR and seeing my once a year since. He's thorough, always listens to my issues, and is down to earth. I appreciate that it doesn't feel like I'm talking to a doctor, just a "regular" person. I also get my INR checked at CVC very frequently and really like Denise. She knows what she's doing, I never question what her instructions are!

Love my Dr. There, (Torres)the only issue I have is when the front office to talk about you while your there and looking at them. Also was told to come back at 1 to pick up a monitor, so I went to get a bite to eat and was back at 1230, waited till 1 and went back up to counter and was told by ASHLEY the lady had left at 1 and was not coming back till 2. I asked her why didn't anyone say anything to me, she stated that she had gone on a late lunch. I told her I had been there since 1110, told her was I suppose to do for another hour. She told me "your gonna have to wait. I told her that was unexceptable and to go get a supervisor she went and came back and just sat down and staring talking to her co worker about me while I'm looking at both of them. Told her that if she was going to talk about me she needs to be discreet about it.
