Yassir Sonbol MD PA

Dr. Sonbol is a great cardiologist!! During my first appointment with him, he took the time to answer all of my questions, he explained things well, and he scheduled an echo for me to make sure things are okay for my heart. I went for the echo about 2 weeks ago and the lady there was incredibly sweet! The echo lady, even though in the past when I've had echos done the people then struggled, did my echo with ease. I was truly amazed. She didn't even need to use contrast like someone else needed to before. She also made sure I was comfortable during my echo. All of the doctor's staff are so kind, just like him. They all treat you like family and I feel like I'm in safe hands here.

Updated Review I am keeping my five-star rating because the doctor is outstanding, knowledgeable, compassionate, and deeply committed to his patients. However, during my echocardiogram today (8/14/2025 at 10:00 AM), the female technician made a remark that my condition had reached an emergency level and I would need surgery immediately and keep looking at me to see my reaction (She said it in a serious manner to entertain herself by watching my reaction). This was not lighthearted, it felt intimidating and deeply inappropriate. In addition, she made other unprofessional comments, such as asking me a question, then interrupting my answer by telling me to take a deep breath, and instructing her trainee that this is "how you silence a patient whenever you want. Patients facing serious conditions should never be subjected to remarks that cause fear, humiliation, or undermine trust. I hope the office addresses this so that every patient experiences the same professionalism and empathy consistently shown by the doctor.

**As a follow up to my previous post. I would like to express my gratitude to Dr. Sonbol's office (Ms. Rachel) for returning my call. She took the time to hear the situation and was sincere and apologetic. It's evident the actions of one staff member are not reflective of the entire office. However, delays in medical treatment have caused further issues. ** Obnoxious and rude staff! My father is a patient and I'm posting this on his behalf. My father went to the ER this morning due to pain (7/14/25) after having a procedure done by Dr. Sonbol on Friday, 7/11/25. The ER confirmed no issues, but couldn't determine the cause of his pain. The ER doctor spoke with Dr. Sonbol personally & was told Dr. Sonbol would squeeze him in, prior to his already scheduled appointment, a month away. My father was told by the dr that if he didn't hear from Dr. Sonbol's office this afternoon, to call them. When he did, the rude staff member told my dad "If they couldn't help you in the ER, what makes you think he can help you?" The lady is always rude and obnoxious with my dad. If she dislikes people so much, why is she talking to patients? My father is sick and in pain, God bless her if she's ever sick and needs help from a doctor's office.

Great experience. Dr. Sonbol listens to you and demonstrates that he cares. This was my first visit and I feel great about it and him.

Dr Sonbol was personable, easy to talk with and calming. On advice of my PCP, the office was able to secure a same day appointment. Entire experience was excellent! I am confident in his care.
