What initially appeared to be a benign case of GERD was met with his proactive decision to pursue a cardiac catheterization. Thanks to his deep insight, a severe coronary artery disease was uncovered--one that had placed me on the brink of death. His sound foresight and medical expertise saved my life. Dr. Shan is truly one of the finest cardiologists, gifted with both remarkable insight and foresight, coupled with extensive medical knowledge. His care and judgment exemplify the highest standards of the profession. Anyone experiencing even transient chest pain should seek the services of this bright and dedicated cardiology mind. I went to Dr. Shan as an employee of Houston Methodist myself after having some minor cardiac issues which we were able to diagnose and create a treatment plan for. He is a phenomenal cardiologist who genuinely cares about his patients. I would absolutely recommend him and his team to anyone needing cardiac care in the Houston area !

For years I had problems that other places just sent me to physical therapy for. They just treated my pain. At Methodist I found Doctors that would treat the condition directly. Im walking with out pain now. And I have at least 60% of the use of my arm and shoulder. I went from barely able to walk for 20 minutes to being able to walk for hours again. Its great.
