In the early 2000's, there was an animated series on TV for children called "The Wonder Pets". Lindy the Guinea Pig, Ming-Ming Duckling and Turtle Tuck traveled around the world to rescue animals. Their adopted mantra was "Teamwork". It seems very interesting that in 2025 a group of medical professionals would demonstrate the same mantra. My experience with the Amulet procedure at Conroe Medical Center was quite efficient. In fact, my first thought was that this is too fast. On Thursday, I received a text indicating that my pre op visit was on Monday and the procedure was scheduled for Tuesday. It was during the pre op visit that I had an opportunity to meet many of the people who would be a part of my care Team. From the Admissions staff to the phlebotomist who made certain that appropriate blood would be available if a transfusion was needed, to a meeting with a hospitalist who would manage my in hospital stay. It was interesting to see the interactions between the various staff. They were supportive of each other and seemed to be really committed to making my stay as productive and enjoyable as possible. (I recalled that during the late 1970's when the hospital in Hempstead closed and there was no hospital in Waller County, Texas, it was said that you needed 50,000 people who called your hospital "their hospital" to be a viable hospital. Fast forward to today, and over a billion dollars have been invested in local hospital development. The Conroe Medical Center was not on the map and all heart surgery went through the Houston Medical Center.). Now, there is a state of the art heart catherization laboratory in the Conroe Medical Center with an excellent support staff that is truly dedicated to "Teamwork" for patient support. The nursing staff worked well as a unit and followed up with phone calls and texts after I was released. Teamwork works.

Dr. Siddiqui is very professional and personable and obviously technically very competent. She explained some difficult to understand cardio details in a very understandable way. I feel I will have the best possible cardio outcome under her care. She motivates me to improve my eating and exercise behavior. I will continue to be her patient as she is an outstanding cardiologist!

My experience with Dr. Strickland has been amazing. He is very thorough in my appts, my pacemaker and keeping it in check. I would recommend his and his staff to anyone. He's friendly, and goes with my jokes.

When I was first sent to Dr. Strickland ar Dr. Manoukian office. I was pleasantly pleased at the friendliness and professionalism of the office staff. Dr. Strickland went over everything i needed to know about the watchman and put my mind ease. I couldn't ask for more!

Dr IJeoma Ekeruo saved my life when I had Aterial Fibrillation, which led to heart failure. She continued a procedure called Ablation and that was how my healing came. She is very knowledgeable, diligent and delightful when she is handling her patients. I felt very safe in her hands. I would 100 percent refer anyone I know with cardiac issues to her because her professionalism is commendable.
