Dr. Serapio Vela, MD

Dr Vela is an excellent Surgeon, with his level of expertise in abdominal, lap, and robotic procedures being quite extensive. In addition, the nursing and administrative teams at his office were amazing for the whole process from diagnosis, pre-op, and post-op care. They were also extremely helpful with all of my leave paperwork for my employer. I would highly recommend this Physician and this practice office for these types of procedures.

I had surgury in 2009 from Serapio Vela and have been in pain ever since! I went back to him for severe pain and tightness twice once heeled and the first time i was prescribed pain killers. The second time he suggested i go see a nerve specialist to kill the nerves so i wouldnt feel pain! Im only leaving a review now because ive had enough of pain and im now looking for a real specialist to re-operate. Ive been to the Seguin ER twice, Tex med clinic once, urgent care once, specialist in San Antonio once and my family doc. All this over a period of 8 years due to not being able to take the pain. Im in need of surgury due to the hernia re-opening and the reason why i havent had surgury is cost and time off from work and being the sole provider for my family its not exactly easy. If at all possible i strongly urge anyone to find a different surgeon to avoid what ive gone through.
