Dr. Nguyen is very observant, but also non-invasive in his observations. He doesn't want to lecture you, he allows you to feel your way to the right conclusion. I believe he's probably more comfortable with the surgical part of his practice versus the office visits, which is consistent with his incredible abilities. I think I'm very fortunate to have a doctor with his temperament as my cardiologist.
I was happy with my visit. Dr. Nguyen gave me my results from my stress test. I had been worried about my Cardiac Calcium Test score being 700. He told me my heart flow was "average". I did not realize that average was good for a 68 year old man who was concerned about having thick Calcium buildup that could lead to cardiac problems. I questioned my "average" flow several times and went to the more severe problems people have with heart disease. Dr. Nguyen explained my average flow was not a bad thing and we discussed measures to keep my heart healthy. The Medeterian Diet and other healthy eating programs along with exercise were good to maintain a healthy heart. Also, this helps with diabetes. A two for one bonus! Being my initial visit, I was pleased with the amenable staff; both receptionist and nursing personnel. It's rather early to evaluate Dr. Nguyen; nonetheless, I found his manner and preparation for my initial visit most satisfactory. Mainly due to his honest responses to my questions, and to his personal first time evaluation findings. He listened, made some recommendations, and we'll follow-up in three months. 1 st visit- appointment was on time and Dr. Nguyen was attentive to our questions and concerns. We like the fact that we will see him on each visit to the cardiology clinic. He recommended a more thorough bloodwork test to show a detailed condition of our cardiovascular system at our next visit. Very professional and friendly. He's easy to talk to.
