Dr. Dao is a Kentucky native, and trained at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He completed both is Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology fellowships at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX. He is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine. Dr. Dao serves as Director of the Pulmonary Embolism Response Program at Medical City Plano. He speaks English and Vietnamese.

Dr. Dao is simply wonderful! Remembered him from a 2016 experience with my mom who was 80 and in hospital. He was the ONLY doctor that took the time to take a chair, sit eye level with her and talk to HER (not just me) about her condition. He glanced at me periodically to see if I had any questions but focused on my mom and she felt so respected and pleased by his actions. I became his patient after that - because that kind of care is invaluable!!
If there were 10 stars here I would leave a 10 star rating. I first met Dr. Dao as he took care of my father with his honesty and factual demeanor they got along great! Dr. Dao helped my father live probably 5 years longer because of the care he received. He has since seen other family members and we all receive the same type of care. What a wonderful individual!!
Dr Dao very much gets high rating for his bedside manner and his diagnostic skills. He is a very patient listener and has very good energy when talking to his patient. He never tried to rush his time with me. He ordered the tests he needed before rushing to a decision. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a champion cardiologist!
Always efficient, timely, and kindness shown. I have found the sign in to be easy and the check out to be able to provide flexibility with patient requests and appointment scheduling. Assistant to Dr. Dao is very knowledgeable and precise with questions and lead in to seeing the Dr. Dr. Dao is so personable and very good at listening to me and my concerns. He does not leave until he is sure that we have covered all subjects that he wants discussed as well as my priorities in coming into the office.. I hate to give him a good review because he will become too busy. Dr. Dao is an amazing doctor. For the first time in a long time I have found a doctor who really listens to me and takes the time to talk to me to see how they can help me. I am a complex case with autoimmune diseases. Dr. Dao is NOT on a time clock like most Doctors are. He spends the time to get to know you and understand you and your concerns. I never felt rushed. He is one of the best doctors I have visited in awhile. So many doctors today are on a time limit and they are all about getting in an out of the door and on to the next patient. Dr. Dao is a rare breed in Medicine today a breath of fresh air, a Doctor who actually cares about his patients.
