***Outstanding Care from Nurse Samantha Fores***
Nurse Samantha Fores in the ER is nothing short of exceptional. From the moment she entered the room, her calm presence, professionalism, and genuine compassion immediately put me at ease during an incredibly stressful time. She took the time to listen carefully, explained everything clearly, and made sure I felt heard and respected every step of the way.
What truly set Samantha apart was the kindness she showed my 6-year-old daughter. She noticed that my little girl was feeling anxious and came back with snacks and juice in hand just to help her feel more comfortable. Samantha took the time to talk with her, make conversation, and keep her calm--turning a scary ER visit into a moment of reassurance and care.
Samantha balances efficiency with empathy in a way that truly sets her apart. She anticipated needs before they were voiced, checked in consistently, and handled every task with confidence and kindness. THIS is what going above and beyond looks like.
In an environment as fast-paced and intense as the ER, Samantha Fores is exactly the kind of nurse you hope to have caring for you or your loved ones. She is an incredible asset to her team and a shining example of what exceptional nursing looks like. I am deeply grateful for the care she provided and cannot recommend her highly enough.Thank you for being a hero who doesn't wear the kindof cape

Everyone at this hospital is always so kind. My grandmother has been here a few times and my mother has visited as well in their ER. I went a couple of days ago and everyone was so patient with me and everyone else despite how busy they were. The woman who checked me in was amazing, I didn't catch her name but she had dark hair and a badge reel about her dogs. Michael in triage was incredibly kind and was good at keeping the mood light so I wouldn't be scared of having to be in the ER. Lauren also talked through with me what was going on and even remembered my mother from a past visit. She got on my level literally and metaphorically (she sat in the waiting room with me as she explained what our options were, so she wouldn't be looming over me) and I truly felt involved in my own care. They even helped me schedule a follow up to make sure everything was okay. Jessica in the referrals department was incredibly helpful and patient with me since I have an unusual work schedule. This hospital is great!

After admission from the emergency room, the care my husband received was well done and covered the issues that put him in the hospital. The intern on his case gave complete and understandable responses to our questions. One of the nurses ranks as the best that we have ever had. Also the meals rank extremely high in quality and taste. This has positively changed our mind about using this hospital regularly.

Went two times within 2 days because the first visit was terrible. I let them know what I needed as this happens once in awhile at random and dr offices were closed at the time. Refused to do so, kept giving me meds I told them would not help. Wasted hours waiting for them to "kick in" and I told them no effect. Literally discharged me with pain meds and muscle relaxer for a pinched nerve they said I don't have since they also refused an MRI but told me I NEEDED one. Came back at 2am within 2 days as it got much worse. Nurse was a jerk and condescending as if I didn't know what I was talking about. I again said what I needed so they immediately listened and gave me it. Then proceeded to give me meds again I said don't work. Hours in, same question and no effect. They finally gave me something that would work and it did. But I had to almost demand a steroid prescription as that's how this issue goes away. Issue with the pharmacy and had to talk with Tyler in the ER and was not friendly and told me that they 100% resent a prescription due to an error on the app w myself. I accepted fault. But turns out after asking him to verify, the dr did NOT because now there was 2 on file (of the same prescription) and now I have to wait until MY dr came back in after pharmacy hours close. So no care in the world for the fact I now have to go over 24hrs in the pain I went in for the first place. Lesson learned on coming here. Very disappointed. To the good nurses, thank you for being compassionate, to the dr that kept coming in for literally .2 seconds and me having to tell him what I needed.... Sorry I'm not a dr but I shouldn't have to let you know how to fix my issue.

Had a medical issue and initially friend drove me to ER, was told it'd be a three hour wait for a bed. Went to urgent care instead. Pain got worse that night had to call 911. EMT's brought me to North Hills. I told them itll be a 3 hour wait for a bed. Theynsaid they would get me one. We get therenand suprise no bed! EMT said " let me call my director" EMT promised id get a bed. Ebven after i asked them can go to a different hosipital which they didnt even acknowledge.
Spent 4 hours in a hallway in a reclining chair. Then gotna bed but was still in hallway for 2 more hours.
Now, they were busy somthats notnthere fault. EMT s shouldnhave taken mento another hospital.
Once im in the hospital, it was the worst hospital experience in my life. 30 min + average call time response when I would push the call button. Nurses not flushing IV before administering medicine, which a basic nuring tennant to make sure the port is clear. Not listening to patient chest and heart sounds on shift change. Only giving pain med when requested. They wouldn't come in of their own accord when my pain med was due.
I gave them my home medicines , which they didnt give me until day 4 in the hospital. 2 of my home medicines they didnt give me because they said they didnt have it.
This is a level II hospital?!!
Apparently no patient advocate, which is bizarre for a level II.
I woke up in my room from out patient surgery and pushed call button . They didnt answer. I had to disconnect my IV, and all.my equipment, get up and get dressed by myself. The bed alarms was going off and they still didnt come into my room. I used a walker once I was dressed and opened my door and there were 5 staff standing in the hallway talking.
I had to file 2 grievances which I dont even know if they did or not.
Avoid this place at all costs. This place is bordering on malpractice.
**** follow up post review****
I was contacted by senior members of medical city and the hospital itself. They are taking my claims serious and will notify me of changes, which I am glad to hear. I will remove this negative post upon final resolution.
