I sincerely don't understand why Dr. Patel isn't booked through infinity. Our little family has had way too many encounters with the medical professionals lately, most of them pediatric. Dr Patel is the gold standard by which all other medical professionals, especially those working with children, should measure themselves. It's rare that you find someone who makes you feel like you are his only patient in the world while simultaneously displaying a lifetime worth of knowledge and experience. We were instructed (only on the discharge paperwork, no one mentioned a thing verbally) to follow up with CHofSA Cardiology after being discharged from CHofSA for a separate issue during which a cardiac work up was done for due diligence. Our 2 month old has a small hole in her heart that will likely close on its own, but the paperwork made it sound much worse and urgent than it was. Dr. Patel took the time to explain exactly what was going on to us (with visuals), how common it is, and even gave us a game plan should we fall into uncommon space. He covered all the bases without even being asked. He's also just a genuinely personable guy who made us feel very at ease in good hands. I couldn't even get on the schedule at CHofSA, so I was referred here by our Primary Pediatrician. I got in quickly. The front office is kind, quick, thorough, and adept. The nurse was warm and welcoming. This whole place, Dr Patel AND his staff are such a blessing, especially to those families in the terrifying position of needing to see a pediatric cardiologist.
