The most ignorant, judgmental and unprofessional doctor I've ever encountered. If you have children with special needs/ADHD OR AUTISM DONT COME HERE. This doctor saw my daughter stimming and had the audacity to tell me that I don't watch my kids. Immediately was critical of my parenting all because I allowed my daughter to STIM. And then we walked into the exam room and there was a METAL BLADED FAN to which ANY child would immediately take notice to be curious to touch. My children are not exposed to fans in any of their environments. He was criticizing me as we walked into the room and my daughter within seconds, tried to touch the fan and he looked at me and said "see you don't watch your daughter. She could have cut herself." as if it's my fault that HE HAS a safety hazard in his practice room. This appointment was to address a medical concern to my children, not for me to walk in and be judged for my parenting. Both of my kids are on the spectrum and had this appointment immediately after a long day of school. If you're familiar with the spectrum, when children are removed from their regular routines, it can cause a disruption and that is exactly what was happening. Sometimes it doesn't matter how much I prepare for a situation you can't control when your child is stimming or disregulated. But what you can control is professionalism and open minded of medical professionals that are supposed to be caring for your child's health and not making an entire appointment a time to criticize parenting and criticize a child. I will be filing a formal complaint alongside this review. I walked out of this appointment before it even started, and I will never be returning. I will make sure the autism community that I'm apart of is aware of this doctors treatment towards my children and myself.
