The "visit" is only based on the terms of the nurse and doctor, both very dismissive. The nurse was a "know it all" and did not listen to what was being said. Just kept firing off her list of memorized questions. Made a big deal out of having to fill out 2lines on form. " Had to do it all by herself!" She needs to retire and re-evaluate her life choices.

Unable to communicate with this office through phone or portal. After finally reaching someone, I was not helped in getting care although I've been a patient here for years. I received better care and better service at a local walk in clinic. We're looking for a new PCP and staff who will address our needs. The relationship between a patient and medical care shouldn't be frustrating and difficult to manage.

Horrible Experience at NIMA: Negligence at Its Worst I had an absolutely appalling experience at NIMA with Dr. Plata and the staff. They allowed a terminally ill patient, who had extremely low vital signs, to leave their office without taking the necessary action of calling EMS. This level of negligence is not only unprofessional but outright dangerous. It is clear that this facility lacks the compassion and competence required to care for patients in critical conditions. The staff showed no sense of urgency or responsibility, and their dismissive attitude was shocking. Such behavior not only puts patients' lives at risk but also violates basic ethical standards of medical care. Dr. Plata and the entire team demonstrated a complete disregard for the well-being of their patient, which is unacceptable in any healthcare setting. I strongly believe that NIMA should face consequences for their actions. They need to be fined, and a thorough review of their NPI and other medical licenses should be conducted to ensure they are held accountable. Patients trust medical professionals with their lives, and NIMA has failed in this most fundamental duty. Avoid this place at all costs if you care about receiving safe and professional care!

Terrible policies! Got an appointment with NP Gamio on Feb 5th because all the Drs were booked months out- totally fine with that. I was told to arrive at least a half hour early to fill out new patient paperwork, also fine. Unfortunately I was TWO minutes late (still 28 minutes before my appointment). Had to wait in line because the receptionists were helping another messed up appointment in front of me (I could overhear the woman complaining to them) and when I was finally seen to check in they told me I wouldn't be seen because I was late. (it was still at least 15 minutes before my appointment time and it doesn't take that long to fill out the paperwork). Ok, so I took a rescheduled appointment on the 13th. Then I had a dental surgery that booked my one week follow up on the 13th, same time as my appointment with Gamio. So I rescheduled with Nima, only to be called a week later to be told that "due to my no-show and rescheduling, Ms. Gamio will not see you, we are cancelling your appointment and you will need to find another provider." OK?!?!? So I will own up to being 2 MINUTES late for my first appointment but if I wasn't allowed to reschedule, then why did they let me?! Who knows, Ms. Gamio might be a great provider, but I will gladly find another if it means I won't have to deal with such asinine office policies. You'd think a medical office might have a touch of grace for people trying to be seen in order to take care of their health, but apparently NIMA does not.

I've been a patient of Dr. plata's for years and he has genuinely helped me change my life. I also love that I can just come in for bloodwork and I can get in for urgent care appointments with other providers when needed.
