The Veteran's Clinic sent me to the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons clinic in Kyle because it's closer to Wimberley then Temple. This place is really hard to find. And what makes it harder is the building across the parking area, to the left in my picture, is the Baylor Scott and White clinic and there address is 4036 Cromwell Dr. But, the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons Clinic's address is 930 Kohlers Crossing. The best way to get there is turn off of Kohlers Crossing on to Cromwell Dr and then turn into the first entrance and the clinic is on the left. Anyway, the Doctor I saw was Dr. Nations. I found him very knowledgeable and patient and he explained everything very well. I found to staff to be friendly and helpful.

After finding out my husband had three blocked arteries and needed bypass surgery, even though he never had any symptoms, he was referred to Dr. McNeil who came highly recommend. We found all the good things we heard about Dr. McNeil were true. The initial visit with him was not rushed. He took time to answer all our questions and explain what the surgery entailed. He actually listened to my husband, and believed him, when he told him how active and how hard he worked before finding out he artery issues and the doctors limited everything he was doing. He asked if it was really necessary to limit is activity and amount of weight he could lift while waiting for surgery. Dr. McNeil told him, since he did not have any symptoms, it was fine for him to resume his normal life while waiting for surgery date to arrive. He said to listen to his body and if he started having symptoms to stop what he was doing. Surgery went well. After he was moved to Cardiac ICU, Dr. McNeil came in an checked on him several times that afternoon to make sure he was doing good. He always took time to talk to me and let me know how my husband was doing and did that throughout the hospital stay. If you are looking for a surgeon in whom you can place your confidence, Dr. McNeil is the one.

Great beside manner.Patient and respectful of our questions. Took his time to explain everything regarding my husband's triple bypass and aorta valve replacement both before surgery and post op appointment. Felt he was in very good hands Great follow up with his nurse Sarah- office manager.

I was referred to Dr McNeil from a friend and co-worker- he was kind and professional and I have no doubt I have chosen the best surgeon to perform my aortic valve surgery- don't put off a Dr visit for your faulty valve - it's imp they replace while you are feeling ok- once you start getting sick and full of symptoms it's too late! I have full confidence I will do fine and add a couple of more decades to my life- Thanks Dr McNeil and office staff- See you soon!
