This is not a hospital!! It's a barn transformed to medical facility! The worst ER in the nation with absolutely terrible staff! We waited till 3am in the ER waiting for the doctor to come back with the results and when I asked the nurse he was "the doctor will come when he comes!" Unprofessional attitude and simply they don't care about the well being of the patients! Also the other nurse who was withdrawing blood for tests didn't come prepared, blended my daughter's hand, and didn't bring tray for cleaning!! I never seen anything like this! This shouldn't be a hospital at all.

I understand that being in the Emergency Room can be a very stressful experience for patients and their families, especially due to wait times. However, it is important to recognize that medical staff must prioritize care based on each patient's condition and level of severity. In our case, the care was immediate and truly exceptional.
Last Friday, we arrived at the Emergency Department with my father in very critical condition due to a pneumonia complication related to his lung cancer. From the very beginning, the hospital staff acted with speed, professionalism, and compassion, successfully stabilizing him. Although we are still hospitalized, his condition has improved significantly and we are hopeful for discharge soon.
I would like to sincerely thank the entire hospital team working across the Emergency Department, West Tower, and East Tower, including doctors, nurses, assistants, room service staff, and the physical therapy team. Despite the language barrier, everyone consistently showed patience, respect, and a genuine commitment to providing high-quality care.
In moments like these, the professionalism, dedication, and humanity of the hospital staff truly make a difference. I highly recommend this hospital with full confidence.

I just recently delivered my first baby at this hospital. All the healthcare providers are amazing. However, I owe L&D Nurse Casey/Kasey (I forgot how to exactly spell her name) and Postpartum Nurse Dasia all the thank you's in the WORLD for my beautiful and memorable birth experience. You can see how much they love what they do and it brings tears of joy to my eyes when I think about how much these two ladies cared for me and my baby throughout this life changing moment. I love these two ladies so much for the experience positive and memorable experience they gave me.

I was pregnant and originally supposed to deliver at a hospital over an hour away. As I got closer to my due date and started having symptoms, I began going to Memorial Katy, since it was closer to home. I ended up visiting the emergency room there five or six times before giving birth.
Overall, the ER staff weren't terrible -- they always got the job done, which I appreciate most. However, some of the things that were said to me during my visits felt unprofessional. On two separate occasions, I was made to feel like they thought I was exaggerating or "faking" my symptoms. Each time, once test results came back, it turned out I was right -- but by then, the experience had already left a bad impression.
On another visit, I was admitted to the pregnancy floor, and the doctor and nurse were openly contradicting each other in front of me. The nurse mentioned that the doctor was from another hospital and that "this isn't how we do things here," while the doctor was insisting that it was her way. That back-and-forth made me feel uneasy and unsure of what was happening.
Then the same doctor later brought up a genetic test I had done earlier in my pregnancy, and she told me, "your baby could possibly be blind." My OB-GYN had already gone over those results with me, and while something about eyesight was mentioned, the way this doctor phrased it was extreme and very upsetting. I felt it was unnecessary and insensitive, especially since my own OB never made it sound that severe.
Fast forward -- I ended up giving birth at Memorial Katy even though I hadn't planned to, and I'm actually glad I did. The labor and delivery nurses and doctor were absolutely amazing. They were caring, attentive, and made me feel safe throughout the entire process.
The only complaint I had was after delivery, once I was transferred to postpartum recovery. Many of the nurses there seemed either new or not very knowledgeable, which didn't help my peace of mind -- especially when my test levels came back unusual. You rarely see a doctor, and the nurses can only share what the doctor tells them. If you ask further questions, you often have to wait for them to reach out to the doctor again, which can be frustrating when you're anxious or not feeling well.
All in all, I'd say:
* Emergency Room: Not the best experience -- professional at times, but bedside manner could be much better.
* Pregnancy Unit (before birth): Confusing and inconsistent.
* Labor & Delivery: Absolutely amazing, 5 stars.
* Postpartum Recovery: Just okay -- I wish the nurses were more experienced and communicative.

My wife and I were forced to go to this hospital due to OB reasons. The delivery doctor was phenomenal. Problems started immediately after when care was administered by the Hermann staff. Here's where it begins:
Newborn doctor (name omitted) decided because our baby was crying that something was wrong. Yes, really. Can you imagine a newborn baby crying? She cited "Your baby's blood oxygen is too low (it was 95%), something is wrong. We need to put her in the NICU. You have a couple minutes to hold your newborn before we take her".
We declined to admit her to the NICU but we were told we have no choice. Here is our problem. Her blood oxygen was NEVER below 95%, WELL above the limit they have posted to their own chart directly in front of us. We even have photos to prove it. This was suspicious to us because why would you assume there is a problem when clearly there wasn't? Was it to milk us and our insurance out of $24,000? Seems likely. She was born with a very common condition that 1 in 4 babies have that heals itself within a day. Their own cardiologist found no reason to keep her in the NICU and they had to let her out. They have a cure and are searching for a problem.
My wife was only able to hold our child 5 minutes after she was born. We were never told she could go see our daughter. She had a c-section so she was unable to get up. She went the entire day unable to be with our baby. Unacceptable.
Further more, they claim our baby had terrible jaundice that needed immediate treatment. Yet another way to bill us. It turns out her levels were within normal child birth ranges and less than 4 times below the limit for treatment. Another unnecessary treatment at our and the insurance companies expense.
We have two cases of medical fraud. Our daughter received absolutely zero treatment in the NICU and was left alone from the moment she was born.
We have gone back and forth with the hospital with zero transparency from them. They claim to perform internal reviews, but they never share any of the reviews performed or communicate what was investigated. Of course they will say "they found they did the right thing" when reviewing themselves so they don't have to admit wrongdoing or fraud.
I will tell our story to absolutely everyone I can about this. Change needs to happen. We cannot continue to be taken advantage of by greedy hospital systems. Stop putting profit over proper care. You completely ruined what was supposed to be a wonderful and memorable event.
