Dr. Aman and Memorial Hermann, do better by your patients. I understand this is a specialist, but being charged thousands for a 3 minute visit and monitor I didn't need or use is definitely not caring for patients. Billing, doctor's office, and insurance all throw up their hands and point their fingers at each other. Stay away or else you'll be charged outrageous amounts for things you don't need. Edit: Received a call from Tanya at the billing department telling me it was my fault that the charges were what they were. Do better, Memorial Hermann.

Unbelievable. I have an HMO plan and was referred to Dr Dar on 8/31. I received a call on 9/2 so I could be scheduled. The soonest appointment was for 9/20, so I scheduled for that day. I asked if they had received my referral and they told me "we'll just make the appointment and address the referral once we receive it." This didn't sound right, so I followed up with them to make sure they received it a week later. I was told there wasn't a referral specialist that works there, that the Dr's nurse handles all referrals and that she was out of the office. I called back the following Monday and was told they had received my referral and I was good to go. I spoke with 3 separate people about this. I took the day off of work, made the drive out to Katy, arrived early and was asked to have a seat. 45min after my appointment time I was called to the desk and was asked for my insurance card and ID. The woman said, "Oh, I'm sorry, we don't accept HMO insurance plans." I showed her my approval from the insurance and she said, "Yes, Dr Dar accepts HMO insurance, but he's only contracted with us. Our facility doesn't accept HMO insurance. If you want to see him it will be $430 plus your copay." I asked why, after speaking with 3 separate people about my insurance referral, nobody cared to mention that the FACILITY was going to charge me $430?? She said "I don't know, I'm sorry." I was furious. The waiting room was standing room only, they were completely behind schedule and obviously lack communication skills. Steer clear of this place. Plenty of other facilities in Houston to choose from!!

A routine ANNUAL visit to this location ( a 3 min ERG and a 10 min discussion with a doctor, total within a 20 min) results in two bills. first, for a doctor services (a specialist, $45 copay) and the Memorial Hermann facilities fee (treated as an "emergency room visit", $162 copay). The facilities fees appear excessive.

Made an appointment six weeks ago for 4 PM today. I also had confirmed the time and date of the appointment yesterday. Got there filled in all of my paperwork. Waited in the waiting room for about 45 minutes until somebody told me that the doctor had left for the day. Lady at the front desk was helpful. However, I don't trust a doctors office that has a failed oversight with an appointment time to address my serious, cardiac condition. Would rate this zero out of five stars if I could.

★★★

I give Dr Dar a higher rating than that! Love him....however it looks like his office policies are making me change Doctors. I have AFib....Dr Dar took care of me. Now that it returned, they say go to the ER.....I have been to the ER twice in my life. Terribly expensive (5 times the price) and will not do it. Why Dr Dar can't set up an outpatient procedure is beyond me.....very sad. I have has run ins with the office help a few times.....not a fan. I have an appointment with a new Cardiologist in a few weeks. Now you (owner) respond with promises to look into the matter. I emailed your people over a week ago... I was finally able to get an appointment to see Dr Dar. He scheduled the procedure to solve my issue at the hospital and all is well! Great man! Needs a little change to the office system.
