This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had at a doctors office in my entire life. Add an appointment scheduled for 10:30 AM. They called the day before asking if I could come early at 9:30 AM I agreed I arrived at 9:15 AM as a new patient thinking there would be a lot of paperwork to fill out. I had my paperwork filled out and was put in a room within 10 minutes. The nurse came back did my vitals and I sat there for about 45 minutes. I did not hear any movement out in the hallway leading me to believe I was the only patient. I opened my door and stepped out into the hallway and look down to the front office, asking them if they had forgot about me.. Both of the ladies look surprised to see me, but said no, they had not forgotten about The doctor would be in with me in five minutes another 25 minutes, went by and I again stepped out and told them that I was leaving She said the doctor is on his way to your room right this second. I stepped back in my room five minutes later Dr. McKowen came in my room. He did not ask me anything about my medical history. He simply said I see you're here for some swelling in your legs. You know there's absolutely nothing we can do about this so I'm not sure what to tell you. I'm not sure why they sent you here because I can't help you." How unprofessional an absolutely disappointing this visit was. He could've looked at my Referral and told me the same thing by Phone without ever having me come in and waste my 2 1/2 hours sitting in his office. My time is just as valuable as his and a little communication goes a long way. It's absolutely horrible to see other reviews that you treat many of your patients this way. Perhaps it's time to retire Dr. McKowan.

RUN!!!!!!!! Do not have this doctor do surgery on you or your love one!!! My Dad died because of his failed medical treatment!! Don't let him sway you that they have the BEST anesthesiologist in the world!! No please RUN! Delayed surgery for my dad all Day long and he took him under the knife with his BP HIGH!!! Caused a stroke and now my dad is Gone!

We had an appointment scheduled at 3pm, arrived early to fill out the intake paperwork. We were told that they would take us back shortly. By 3:45pm, asked receptionist how much longer, and she said 20-30 minutes. By 4:00pm, I asked if we were even on his schedule. We were told that we were his 2nd appointment, and it would be another 40 minutes. We were there for severe vascular issues and sitting for the long period caused an 86 year old woman's leg to swell twice its size. This doctor has no consideration, and his staff ignore and lie to you. The receptionist said "he is a very busy man". Then don't schedule the appointment! I certainly wasn't waiting for the King of England, but this doctor and his staff certainly acted like it. The arrogance, lack of consideration, disregard for medical issues is alarming. It is shocking this man's ego and dishonest staff continue to serve the medical needs of the public.

Dr Mckowen is a wonderful doctor, he is very professional, he gave us security and confidence, he performed surgery with Dr Eager to correct the spine of my Mom Amparo Osorio and it was a success, he is an incredible doctor. Thank you for your care and professionalism.

Visiting a thoracic surgeon is never something you look forward to doing. Dr McKowen and his staff made my experience much easier to deal with. He explained everything in a very simple way and made the process easy for my wife and I. His use of state of the art technology (DaVinci robotic procedure) made my surgery and recovery time amazingly short. I was back to work in less than a week. His front office staff were very attentive and caring and ensured I felt at home. Thank you Karen, Kasandra and Kim for your caring and personal touch. I look forward to visiting your office. You keep this up and you will need a bigger office.
