Javid Alakbarli, MD, completed his medical degree at Istanbul University, Cerrahpasha Medical School in 2015. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in 2019. He went on to complete his fellowship in Cardiology at the Texas Heart Institute at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center in 2023. Fluent in five languages, he is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Adult Comprehensive Echocardiography, and he is a registered physician in vascular interpretation (RPVI). Dr. Alakbarli joined Kelsey-Seybold in 2023.

I was having chest pain (most likely from anxiety) so I went to urgent care and they performed an EKG and it was abnormal. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Alakbarli, MD and he was very knowledgeable and comforting regarding my EKG results. He really cared to explain how EKG tests work and wanted to confirm my heart was in normal condition by issuing an ultrasound exam. I had a great experience working with Dr. Alakbarli to figure out some of the unusual activity I was feeling in my heart.
