George Basu, MD

My experience with Dr Basu was wonderful he is a great doctor he is concern has a terrific bed side manner he listens to you attentively and he will answer all of your questions. I am very happy I was referred to him and he will continue to be my cardiologist. GREAT DOCTOR!

Dr Basu and staff are the best in my book. He is to the point and makes sure you get what you need. He saved my life and He really cares about our health. My husband is also under his care. He not only makes you feel like a friend his bedside manner can not be beat. His sense of humor makes for a pleasant Dr. visit. I look forward to seeing him and his staff and I do not like going to Dr appointments. The main thing about Dr. Basu he knows his business and we know he is there for us. Dr. Basu and staff are the best by far .

I give his practice a three star because Dr Basu is a smart and very thorough but he does not understand the value of the working man. I was recently dropped from his practice due to that fact that I work all over the United States of America's and even though I have made every appointment every year, I was dropped because I did not make the monthly checks to check my INR level when they requested me too. I did make the appointments but just not as clock work like they wanted. One of his nurses is amazing but the other does not return calls nor reply to emails. So if you are a working father and have four kids with a busy schedule then do not use this practice but if you are further along in life and a more local career than that might work but do not miss an appointment because they will drop you. Dr Basu was super on-target, the kindest bedside manner, thoughtful questions and calm but directed treatment planning which addressed all our concerns and then some! He was the first doctor to discover some very rare heart issues no other doctor had discovered. Awesome.

Dr. Basu is a wonderful cardiologist. He is exacting in his diagnosis, efficient in his applications, totally honest and truthful, and a real gentleman. He tells it like it is and doesn't beat around the bush. His office is technologically efficient and his support staff is excellent. I trust him and my family trusts him. I not only consider Dr. Basu my cardiologist but also my dear friend. I am superbly happy that he works at both Methodist and Memorial Herman hospitals and I find the service at both very fine.
