Dr. Tulsidas S. Kuruvanka, MD

My husband has seen Dr K for over 10 years now. He placed cardiac stents in 2013, and has been my husbands advocate for various health issues. He is patient, caring and extremely knowledgeable. His office has the most up to date equipment. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr K

On week ago I required coronary artery stenting at Willowbrook Methodist Hospital. Tulsidas Kuruvanka MD, interventional cardiologist was asked to help by my cardiologist Aditya Samal MD. Dr. K took care of my needs immediately, with compassion, fully informed consent and I watched his technical skills, live during the procedure, along with his highly skilled team. I had no discomfort and the post op period went like a dream. I am a retired family physician who has worked with this medical group for over three decades whilst they provided with wonderful care for my patients. I would give a ZERO if possible. I made my first appointment with his office only to arrive today & be told they had NO appointment on the books for me & instead of offering to work me in, they flat out refused to even try. I even told the staff that I was recommended to see a cardiologist after labs in the ER indicated I'd had a heart attack. They couldn't care less & sent me packing. Incompetency in Dr's office staff is at an all-time high because Dr's don't choose their staff & the end result is lost clientele & patients being forced to go elsewhere.

Dr Kuruvanka is really good and is exceptional at explaining one's concern and schedules consultantions and tests according to ones condition. Follow ups are detailed and thorough. I hate to edit a good review because the doctor is really good but the office staff are hopeless. At my last visit the doctor mentioned that he needed to run more tests and the staff would schedule me. Low and behold I have reached out to them and 2 months later the office staff won't even return my calls or are clueless about what I need done even when I remind them. It's a shame that I have to probably seek out a different cardiologist..

He is very good specialist but his office staff is very disappointing. I have been with this doctor for 4+ years. I always have issues with the staff, specially the Office Manager. I have had enough of the inefficient way they handle patient care. I am switching doctors. But, it is not because of Dr. Kuruvanka. If you choose to use him, stay vigilant over your care with the office staff. Complain, then maybe he will realize what is really going on.
