I had a heart attack and was taken by ambulance to the hospital Oct 20, 2025. I had 100% blockage in my right artery. After I had a Stent placed in my artery I was advised in the ICU that my "widow maker" was 90% blocked and I needed another stent in a month. Dr Idris was the cardiologist in the hospital and seemed very nice. He advised while in ICU that I needed to wait a month before the stent could be put into my widow maker artery. I had to wait 10 days after getting out of ICU to have an office visit with Dr Idris to schedule the stent surgery. During that visit I was advised that the hospital would call me the following week to schedule the stent surgery. My visit with Dr. Idris was November 19th and today is December 8th (19 days later). I have not had one call from the doctor's office. I have left several message and have been informed twice when actually speaking to someone in their office that I will be given a call back, but it hasn't happened. I explained I'm afraid of dying if I have another heart attack before they get me scheduled. While writing this today I've been on hold for their office for 31 minutes. Their answering message says you can leave a message and someone will call you back the same day, but that's not the case. The receptionist advised me that this feature doesn't work and she didn't know why they leave the message saying to do that???? I've left several messages waiting for that "same day call back" and no one has ever called me back. This is a life and death situation. No one has called me back. Dr. Idris is very nice, and I did feel very comfortable with him, but not receiving a call back after several calls to their office is very frustrating. I did finally get thru to a very nice lady (Dec 5th) in the Allen office and she transferred me directly to Leslie (Dr Idris assistant). I explained my situation and Leslie sounded very nice too. I explained I can't get anyone to call me back about my stent. She assured me I would be called back the same day or the next for sure. Today is Dec 8th and I have not been called back. I'm scared, I need my stent.

I met Dr. Owais on my son's birthday, like 8 weeks ago, he was one of the best I have ever seen. He was direct in explaining what happened, and what may potentially happen after the surgery, I "do" recommend him most of my friends who are asking a referral for cardiologist. If you are detail oriented, he can explain without making you think that you are wasting his time. He is humble too, I strongly recommend him in case you feel like you have an issue with your hearth.

I would give zero if I could. He saw my father to assess his risk for surgery and told my father he was medium risk and cleared for surgery. After weeks of waiting, when my father saw his surgeon Dr. Idris had sent the surgeon that my father was high risk and needed stints. That's not what he told my family and wasted weeks of my father's already limit time and money. He's retired, in very bad health and is on a fixed income. Don't take your elderly family here. They do not value time and health.

Met Dr. Idris to establish my first cardiologist. He was very thorough and explained the heart in general, my current heart health and numbers, the baselines we need to take, and how to improve going forward. Great experience.
