Dr. Mohammad Z. Nawaz, MD

DO NOT GO!!!! Dr.Nawaz is probably the worst doctor I've ever encountered. He has an extremely horrible attitude, will find any way to charge you more than you were expecting, milks your insurance payouts by as much as possible. Not to mention his staff is extremely rude and short tempered, scheduling an appointment will take more than a couple weeks. This man has lost data on me and says it's my fault. He needs to get his medical license removed!!

I visited Dr Nawaz multiple times in 2016 and he did multiple test on me. Going regularly I assume every procedure and test he did is in network procedure. I have very good coverage from BCBS and very less deductible But after two years I got a bill for $3255 from a lab after 2 years and the reason given to me that lab is out of network. And that lab work was done in his office, on his reference and he was present. Now he is saying that he didn't know that lab was out of network and he was doing a favor to me to bring some lab in his office. I have to work with lab to settle it. How can I trust his story that being a cardiologist he is allowing some lab to do lab work in his lab which don't take BCBS insurance? No one pick phone in his office, you need to leave voicemail and some office assistant will call you at there convenient. I am not going back to him and neither advice anyone to go to him.

Dr Nawaz is now at Advantage Vascular He took the place of the previous Dr we were using. My husband ended up in ICU with his life on the line & almost losing his left leg due to a botched procedure and improper use of a medical laser. Stay away from this BUTCHER if you value your life and limbs!

I gave Dr. Nawaz one star and that is being kind. Dr. Nawaz saw my father after being diagnosed with congestive heart failure in an ER. We, meaning members of my family and several personnel at the rehab facility including the physician who initially referred my dad to Dr. Nawaz as a patient have been asking for some kind of report detailing his findings including any kind of medical diagnosis for six weeks to no avail. He has no patient portal. He is never in his office. He refuses to return phone calls or respond to fax requests. I've gone to his office seeking a printout of my dad's report and have been told Dr. Nawaz is the only person who can release the report. Personnel from the rehab facility have called several times and made trips to his office and he refuses to speak to them or return their calls. There are plenty other cardiologists in the Plano/Frisco area. Any one of them is a better choice than Dr. Nawaz.

I met Dr. Nowaz back in 2008 , he was my cardiologist he assisted putting stints in my heart and soon left the hospital. i had been going to same hospital for years and change of insurance prompted me to look elsewhere. To my surprise , I found him in network. So, I made an appointment mid novermber 2019. I showed up and was also surprised he had remembered me from that far back. The visit made me question him a little as he appeared to show some attitude about my not having exact dosage of my current pills but he realized it and faked his way out of it by saying we will get you well or better. He wanted me to come back at the end of November for a stress test and that he would call me with the date .(usually the patient lets the dr know what days are good because patient works) not in this case . so I waited and no call ever came. I ended up calling december 6 2019. I was told that he was busy and that it would be January before he could see me. I stated my deductible was fully met and would appreciate it if he could get me in . well that fell on deaf ears. and by the way it is now March 2019 and STILL no call. I truly don't understand how anyone could operate a business in this fashion .My tip if anyone should ask? .Is to avoid at all costs. save yourself the headache. No stars I FEEL he owes stars to get back to 0. I READ the other reviews and realized they were experiencing similar actions from him. I suggest you read all bad to get better insight about him .
