Freeport Veterinary Medical Center

We had to put down our Coco (English Bulldog) yesterday due to a very aggressive cancer that spread quickly. The Dr Goerdel and the staff were incredible, compassionate and made us feel at ease. They did not rush, were calm, soft and just amazing. Dr Goerdel diagnosed her immediately and did not try to perform unnecessary tests. We will be back with our new puppy soon. I highly recommend Freeport Vet Medical Center. Thank you and God bless you.

6/30/25 Dr. Miller and "Uncle Bill" helped my Diesel transition over the Rainbow Bridge this morning. They took such good care of him and let us know exactly what was going on. We went in thinking he had a virus and found out he had a large mass on his liver and he only had a few days left. Thank you for forever being there for my babies and loving them. Dr. Kody and his staff have been taking great care of my boys Diesel and Dozer since they took over the business in Freeport. They all go above and beyond to do what they can for our babies and I wouldn't trust anyone else.

We've been using this vet for all of our pets for almost 10 years now. Every doctor we have seen and all staff have always been kind and caring for every visit. We just received some not-so-good news about our cat and Dr. Dewyer was so sweet and knowledgeable. She took the time to figure out was wrong then walked me through every possible step and answered any question I had. I can't recommend them enough.

Very happy with Freeport vet. My dog was neglected at another vet and I brought him here and he received excellent care. They did surgery to repair his prolapse and his neuter. I'm very pleased with the staff all the way around.

I brought my sweet Teddy in on a medical emergency. The staff was great from the time I arrived. They even came out to my car to get our dog. We found out he was suffering from IVDD and all deep pain tests were performed with no reaction - he had lost all bowel control. Dr. Goerdel watched me and my children break down. He even went as far as to call everywhere from here to Texas A&M for prognosis information. Fast forward to 3 days later we were back to put him down. Another deep pain test was performed prior to our decision to euthanize to end his suffering. Before euthanasia took place Dr. Goerdel called us back and informed us he had feeling where he didn't 3 days prior. He could have kept it to himself but his ethics are beyond measure. We were all hopeful and optimistic. They were quick to start laser therapy, adjusted medications, and scheduled us for future therapy sessions! We will forever be grateful for their compassion and support in our dog's journey to healing. What an amazing place! I can't recommend them enough! If you are looking for compassion and love this is the place to go! Although we have a journey ahead of us, we have hope because of Freeport Veterinary Medical Center and the folks there!
