My family had a terrible experience with Primary Care Associates of Texas, specifically under the care of Dr. Stephanie Nielsen. My wife communicated multiple times with staff members Lily and Marissa regarding a referral for my mother's cataract surgery. Despite being told clearly that we needed the referral to go to a specialist within our insurance network, they continuously tried to push us to see one of their doctors -- who is not covered under our plan.
We explained the insurance situation repeatedly, yet they still sent the referral twice to the wrong provider. This careless mistake delayed my mother's care unnecessarily, and the staff kept making excuses and promising to handle it "tomorrow morning" -- which, of course, never happened.
The office manager never returned any of our calls, and the overall communication from this clinic was extremely poor. The lack of accountability and professionalism here is staggering. I would strongly caution law enforcement, military families, and anyone who values timely, competent care to stay far away from this place.
You deserve better -- and so do your loved ones.

Very positive outcome! Dr. S. Nielsen was very professional and caring. Explained everything very clearly. Overall, she made me feel on ease, even when at the moment I went to the clinic with discomfort and pain. Bella was very empathic and gave me an excellent support when Dr. Nielsen was examining me. I really appreciate their care! Thanks

This is probably the worst primary care office in all of N FTW. After being told I may have a form of cancer, I had to get scheduled for imaging. My initial imaging appt had to be cancelled several times and why? Because the doc office sent the wrong information to my insurance so they denied coverage!!!!! I had to call around back and forth to finally get this resolved between calling the doc office who kept telling me I had to call my insurance or the imaging place, and the insurance and imaging place all saying that the doc office needs to handle this. After calling around like a crazy person they finally updated the request to the insurance. After getting this terrible news, you can imagine the emotional trauma this inflicted on me for weeks. It was a nightmare. Fast forward to when I finally got the ct scan , I had to reach out to the office weeks later because I didn't get my results. When I called, the woman at the front desk said "Yes we got your results" very matter-of-factly, and said "the doctor would like to schedule an appointment with you to review them this month." I was livid. After waiting around for 3 weeks, I had to call them and ask for the results and it's as if they were trying to act like there wasn't any time that passed. Also, there was no sense of urgency and I felt like I had to "wait in line." After speaking to Nurse Diana , she tried to make it seem like it was my fault they were waiting on me to see the specialist but I'm sorry, the results were sent to THEIR office. She said "don't wait around on us" .. like WTH?! What does me seeing a specialist have to do with someone contacting me that my results were received. I left that call feeling gaslit. The North FTW healthcare is bad enough, but this place is even worse. They don't care.

100% recommend. I was seen by Sarah and she was wonderful. She really listened to my history details and my concerns. I had appointments for all referrals within a week, never had this turn around time with other places. Had blood drawn that same day and results within a week. Front desk was courteous and kind. Bella also attended me and she was amazing. If you get nervous about needles like I do, the phlebotomist does a great job so no worries! She was gentle and kind. Great personality and attention all around. Thank you all!

Following the medical consultation, there appears to be a lack of communication regarding subsequent steps. Specifically, we were not provided with instructions on how to prepare for the laboratory tests, and during the second visit, we were not informed about where to obtain the prescribed medication.
