Dr Lo is the worse doctor I've ever encountered. My Dad went into Texas Health for an emergency aortic dissection surgery. He survived the surgery but then was assigned Dr Lo as his cardiologist while he was there. My dad was never thriving so he didn't leave the hospital after his surgery, and as the family we couldn't figure out why he wasn't improving. Then almost exactly 3 weeks after he was admitted for surgery, he was rushed back and intubated, and it was discovered that he had a massive heart infection. So bad that it was abscessed and they told us he wouldn't make it through the night. We were shocked. You see, Dr Lo did an ultrasound a week prior on his heart and told us he was fine. That even though he had all of the signs of a heart infection, he was actually good. That those infection signs must be coming from somewhere else. He blamed them on his chest tubes wounds, which did have an infection, but he missed what was right in front of him. He even went as far as releasing him. My Dad only happened to still be at the hospital because of other doctors not releasing him. After we got his medical records we saw that he had a CT scan 5 days after the initial surgery that said his heart was "concerning for infection". Why did Dr Lo never follow up on this? To make matters worse, his attitude was awful after the infection was found. We were asking for options for him, higher level of care, alternative medicine something. He looked at me and shrugged his shoulders and said " He's probably not going to make it either way so......" After a week of arguing with him he finally got my Dad transferred. The new hospital (Medical cities Dallas Heart) was so much better care. It was completely different then what we experienced with THR and Dr Lo. My Dad did end up passing away there. But the expertise was night and day. Medical Cities Dallas Heart cared. They did everything they could to save him. I wish I could say the same about Dr Lo.

I have left a review about the treatment of my sister. He put her on Xerlto (not sure of spelling) a blood thinner. He could not have read her chart as she has 2 blood disorders that are contraindicated with this treatment without close supervision! Instead he tells her he will see her in 6mo if she doesn't have a stroke or throws an embolism and kills her! Now she is on hospice in her final days, bloody nose that lasts many hrs. Having to have her nose packed and iced trying to control it. Horrendous black tarry diarrhea. And vomiting!! 6ft tall and weighs less than 100lbs. Can't keep liquids down. Barely able to talk to me!! It's breaking my heart!! We would talk on the phone for hours!! She just turned 68 and I'm almost 76! Is it because we are too old to fool with! We cost to much? We take up to much space ?We are mothers, grandmothers and great-grandmother's! We cook, clean, babysit, shop, love our family's , friends, relatives and pets. My sister has an awesome memory! Is a wiz with computers. To this day her memory has not faltered!! She reminds me of things I forgot and now that will all be lost!!! Because this Dr FAILED HIS PATIENT!!! I'm a retired pediatric nurse. I had 2 back surgeries and 2 cancer surgeries, I was unable to return to nursing because I had a bad Dr who failed me too!! I could no Longer walk without 2 canes or a Rollator. Now I'm a widow, handicapped and live alone. But I stay busy! I'm a quilter, a crafter, I make jewelry to sell, I have 4 small dogs I care for. My sister and I are useful, thoughtful, loving human beings who try to live in these hard times! So why do we have to suffer THOUGHTLESS DOCTORS! We deserve better than this. If we were younger and more appealing would we have received the care we so desperately needed??

This is a horrible Dr.!! He put my sister on Xerlto, a blood thinner!! He didn't even read her chart to see that she has Factor 7 or 8 a blood disorder as well as Microcydic Anemia!! He is literally killing her! When she and her daughter asked when she should come back in, his response was in May if she doesn't Stroke or throw an embolism!! In otherwise if you're still alive!! He's not even keeping an eye on her!! She has bloody noses that last 7hrs!! Just taking a shower leaves bruises! Now she is so weak they can't even get a blood pressure and her pulse is 44!! She is at home on Hospice and Oxygen!! Black tarry stools, vomiting!! She is 6 ft tall and weighs less than 100lbs!! ANY BODY SEEING HIM IS TAKING THEIR LIFE IN THEIR OWN HANDS!!

Checked in for my appointment about 10-15 minutes early. Already had completed my paperwork online prior to my appointment. After sitting in the lobby for about an hour and twenty minutes I walked back up to the desk and asked if the doctor was running behind. I was told no. The woman who initially checked me in walked over to her computer and said "Oops, I forgot to check you in, my bad" then she turns around and walks off. Never looked at and, never apologized for making a mistake. I don't think she could have cared less. Another girl said I will send a message to the back and let them know you are here. After about 10 minutes I was called back. The medical assistant in the back apologized and Dr. Lo came in and apologized for the mistake at the front desk. Still can't believe no one in the front could muster a simple "I am sorry for the mistake". They must really hate their jobs. I would highly recommend Dr. Lo, the front office staff is in serious need of education and training.

I am changing my cardiologist. Doctor was nice but I wanted testing to be performed and I was called and after the initial appointment, I wouldn't see Dr. Lo until almost 7 months. I didn't appreciate that he focused on other issues other than cardiovascular and heart related issues.
