Dr. Tam is miraculous! My daughter has had 5 open heart surgeries & he did the impossible with her! I cant thank him enough! He is very knowledgeable and a true pioneer in his craft! Great bedside manner, very empathic, and he will always do his best. No other doctor would take my daughters case. Dr. Tam did and he is the reason she is with me today. Thank you sir for all you did and continue to do!

My daughter had a six hour surgery that Dr. Tam did. For starters, it was nearly impossible to even get him to respond to the other doctors to schedule my daughter's surgery. After weeks of trying, we finally got a response the morning of my daughter surgery he walked into her room spoke to me for five minutes, explained one of the procedures he was going to do that day was going to be microscopic. When my daughter came out of surgery, she has a 5 inch scar on her back. Also after her surgery while I was waiting in the waiting room in the CI waiting room. Dr. Tim walked into the waiting room theninto the elevator and never spoke to me did not acknowledge me so I still to this day since April do not know the full truth of what happened behind my daughter surgery. He placed my daughter's tracheostomy and the first week when it was due to be changed. Other surgeons came in because he decided to go on vacation knowing this would have to happen. He did not ask anybody to do it. Other doctors had to take time out of their schedule to come and do it and when they did it they discovered that her sutures were placed completely wrong and they refused to touch it because he place things wrong. After weeks of trying to get a hold of Dr. Tam to come and speak to me as my child's mother I finally got a hold of his nurse practitioner. Crystal and she had the nerve to tell me that I can schedule an appointment to go to his office and for him to tell me about my child surgery while we were still impatient. Dr. Tam also left sutures on my child That should not have been there Surgery I. I still to this day have no idea everything that happened during my child surgery even though I had nurses coming up to me and asking me how she was because they heard it was very complicated. I absolutely do not recommend the surgeon. He is completely unprofessional. He clearly has too much on his plate and if he cannot manage his time in a timely manner, he needs to retire what he did to my family that day when he walked past us in the waiting room, completely traumatized us for the rest of my life. When I seen him, walk past me without saying a word I thought I had lost my child. And I will never forgive this man for doing what he did.

My son was born with a genetic heart defect in Atlanta almost 25 years ago. At the time there was no way to surgically fix that condition. Dr. Tam tried anyway, knowing the likely outcome. I could sense his real humanity and I was so grateful that he would try knowing the emotional toll it would likely take on him. He thought it would take a couple of hours but it turned into a 7-hour surgery. My son didn't make it but I still appreciate Dr. Tam's compassion, humanity and willingness to apply his tremendous skill when I know it took an emotional a toll on him. Thank you Dr. Tam.

When I was 2.5 years old, Dr. Tam performed open heart surgery, ASD repair, on me. I'm now 31 and I've never had any complications! All my doctors have praised how straight my scar is as well. And Dr. Tam, if you read this, thank you!! I'm so thankful for you! You are a blessing in my life, because of you I've had another 29 years of life! I hope you're doing well!! Best wishes to you and your family!
