I can't help but suspect they don't want Medicare/United Health Care patients because they did too many things to make my appointment unattainable. Hmmm??? My Experience: Horrible! I've never been treated so disregardingly or disrespectfully from medical professionals in all my 50+ years. My original Spring/Summer appt was cancelled by the office and my care was delayed months until today. After driving 90 minutes to get to a 10 am appt, including *leaving a courtesy message to alert them I was behind a train and may be a minute late - *they don't answer the phones btw, they called me while I was driving to inform me I wouldn't be seen...even though it was 20 minutes before my appt, therefore, my appt time had not yet expired! I implored her that I have growths on my thyroid that need to be addressed and she said she'd call me back. (I told her I was losing time getting there because I had to pull over while talking as my gps wouldn't work with on-going phone call.) I never got a phone call back and continued the long 90 minute drive to the office. Upon arrival, I was the only person in the waiting room and I was informed that I wasn't going to be seen until 1:30 pm and then while waiting, they moved it to 3 pm. When asked why I wouldn't be seen being 1 minute late, she said it was because I didn't follow the text message instructions to do online registration. Showing her the text messages, there were no instructions other than a number to call if cancelling! She implied the phone call reminder of the appt was made over the weekend which was enough, so it was still my fault. I made it clear to her that she "knows this isn't right" and she "knows this isn't fair." She responded blankly. Heartlessly, she did not acknowledge my need as a patient nor concern as a fellow human being. She was as cold, if not colder, than ice. I am so incredibly disappointed this is how health care is represented in Texas. Sad.
So, today my growth is present, I've wasted a year trying to see this doc, and I still can't get in to see an endocrinologist in DFW for months...I should have never left Vegas...they had great health care.
Go elsewhere as I am doing. This office does not exemplify anything more than minimal patient care. If I could give them a zero , I would. Am I angry? No, I'm appalled. Absolutely pathetically absent health care provided by this office.
Update: I found my sister's 4+ star rated endocrinologist in Florida and will be seen in 3 weeks.

We were not able to meet Dr. Baja, but his staff is unreachable by phone and do not return calls. When you speak to their staff in person, they are rude from the start. We made a new patient appointment in good faith, 5 months in advance. Two days prior, they canceled on our appointment and could not reschedule us for 4 months. Unfortunately, you need to be seen to have a prescription for insulin. We need insulin to survive and would have run out of medication prior to being seen. After pleading, we were able to get a last minute appointment, did the online paperwork, took off work, online check in complete, on time, drove an hour in the pouring rain and they would not see us. This practice has the worst front office staff I have ever encountered. Unacceptable! Look for another doctor.

★★★
Dr. Bajaj is nice-I've only met him once, answers my questions and his NP is kind and thorough.
Sadly no one ever answers the phone.
Most of the office staff is"nice" EXCEPT
The office staff on the phone named Janay. She is rude and cuts you off. She calls me to help with billing questions, only to cut me off and tell me she can't help me, then WHY did you even bother calling me?!?!?! She doesn't want to hear your story or the issue or what you were told by the 3rd party billing - she doesn't want to hear that someone took my bank information and hasn't posted my payment yet, and it's been days. Someone was slacking on their job. I tried to tell her that's hard being a patient, getting a late notice in the mail and you can't make a payment. She tells me, I can't help you with that.
I get it!!! You don't know about the billing process, then get someone on the phone who does know, before calling me being RUDE and cutting off the conversation as if you don't care or want to hear my concerns.
The tone in your voice and how you belittled and spoke to me like I was stupid, clearly shows you don't care.
That's not how you do customer service.
I told her," there's no need to continue this conversation since you keep cutting me off". I hung up. Ridiculous service!!
** Update 5 days later someone from the" Amarillo billing center finally called and they posted my invoice "
Here's the deal, pay cash at the office visits-
The third party building in Amarillo get your payment information and then submit it back to the office to somebody who actually posts the payments,( which no one knows who that is, Apparently ) I find this billing method to be unacceptable. It causes a delay and payment updating your bank accounts and with all of the scam fraudulent stuff going on it leaves you feeling skeptical of making a payment.
I would just pay cash, plus you're charged $3 to pay with your credit card.
The doctor's office does not pay that fee that is charged to them directly they push that fee back onto the patient.

I've always been reluctant to go to doctors. However, when I found this office, they're always welcoming and caring. Savannah is amazing, the amount of time she puts into researching and doing what's best for her patients is great! I greatly appreciate her patience and how she explains things in the way that I can understand them!

Good luck trying to reach anyone on the phone. If you leave a message needing help, no one calls you back. If they put you on new insulin and a new medical device and you call for help and leave a message, no one calls you back. If you are late to an appointment as a new patient to that office, just don't go because they won't see you. Pretty much if you need anything outside of the office visit, you will receive no assistance or calls back. Being disappointed and discouraged is an understatement.
