I noticed most of these reviews are really old and for some reason my review has disappeared from a few years ago so I am adding it back. Dr. Youssef was extremely rude and disparaging the last time I went in. To preface, I went in a few years before that just for a basic check due to my profession. She wanted me to come back to do the other half which was the stress test but with my shift work I was unable to do that. Fast forward a few years and I go in because we have heart issues popping up in our family. I was not having issues myself but was looking for preventive checks. First of all her office did not let me know they relocated and nobody answered the phone ever. Luckily they were just across the parking lot but to make sure I was on time I had to run across that parking lot which made my blood pressure a little higher than normal - obviously. I had gained weight since my prior visit but was not obese. Without asking any questions she told me to just eat a banana for breakfast since I had gained weight and wanted to put me on statins even though my total cholesterol was only 70 points higher than it should have been. I told her I did not want to be on statins because my family members have had severe allergic reactions when placed on them. She got angry and said there's nothing wrong with statins and that she takes a statin herself. Well, I'm happy for her but that has nothing to do with me. Secondly, after changing primary physicians my new doctor discovered the root of some health issues I was starting to have which was also a reason I had gained some weight. The advice of eating a banana for breakfast would have been very problematic for that condition. Working together we have been able to get me back to where I should be. I was hoping a female doctor would be more invested in the health of females since so little research is done in the cardiovascular area for women, but that wasn't the case. Needless to say I did not follow up on my visit and I won't go back.
