Dr Chavez is a great cardiologist - he did my Watchman procedure last August. He is very kind, personable, and easy to work with. Dr Chavez has always been very responsive and very quick to get back to me with answers to my questions. I highly recommend Dr Chavez; however, I was recently informed that he has left the Memorial Hermann practice. I'm hoping he will respond and let all his patients know where he went!!!
Dr. Chavez is excellent. Answered questions. Thankful he is my doctor. I felt comfortable and assured of his ability to perform TVAR. The only drawback is 15min appointment to meet your TVAR doctor for the first time is not enough. Still have many questions!
Dr. Chavez is an excellent physician but unfortunately, he has the worst staff that I have ever experienced with a physicians office. It is a known fact that this has been brought to Dr. Chavez attention by hospital administrators but absolutely nothing has changed. The rudeness, arrogance, and curt behavior of his staff will definitely make the experience of his office not worth going. Not to mention - his RN takes it upon herself to make decisions and don't make the mistake of asking for a return call from Dr. Chavez - she'll block you and you won't receive one. Total interference with patient care - regardless of longevity. It's very sad that a man of his professional stature has allowed the staff - who have the role to support - to actually do the opposite; I'll be leaving Dr. Chavez - all due to his RN. You can't make this stuff up even if you tried!
Everyone involved with this practice, from DC and Leea, who take care of you when you arrive and when you check out; to Natalie, the office Manager to Sandra the nurse is great. And Dr Hamoud and Dr Chavez are amazing, caring, and professional. They actually listen to me without talking over me and explain why they are proposing. Thank you for taking such good care of me!
After being admitted in emergency and having elevated heart attack symptoms Dr Chavez spoke with me and he was calm, energetic and easy to understand. And he listened. People started telling me how lucky I was to have him. Even my primary physician said so. I feel I'm in good hands and look forward to a positive experience with him as my cardiologist.
