Besides the fact that he is super busy doctor and you only get to see him once, he is incredibly professional doctor and I would go to him again if had to. Heart Valve repair and I'm walking by myself again only 3 days after my surgery. Thanks for everything, Doc! And thanks for amazing crew. Everyone was there for me and always ready to help. That felt really good

My daughter went in for aortic bifemoral bypass surgery, not only did he NOT come see her prior to surgery, but has never come to ICU either! She has only seen him one time and told she needed surgery! I'm a medical professional and have worked in the Dallas area in the operating room for 40 yrs; it is very unprofessional for a Dr to ignore his patient before or after surgery and especially when they r in ICU! His bedside manner is simply NOT THERE! I get better service from my vet! I would recommend him to my worst enemies or a prison facility!

The name Dr. Tavares has been a part of our family for over 25 years. Cardiovascular disease is not solely controlled by diet; it involves a whole range of dos and don'ts. In fact, it becomes a lifestyle once you understand it, especially if it's inherited in your bloodline. Remember, nobody can make the necessary changes to improve except the patient themselves. If they don't care enough to make the adjustments to fight it, then it's important to realize that it's not your battle to fight. It's theirs, and only they can make the changes when they feel ready. Just know that there is always something that can be done, even if you don't have any symptoms. Knowing about it is the first step, and changing your lifestyle is another important aspect. Make time for exercise and any type of meditation to keep yourself balanced and level-headed, so that you can control any situations that are beyond your control and simply let go. Dr. Tavares has played a huge role in our family's lives, as well as the lives of our extended family. We are immensely grateful to Dr. Tavares and his entire surgical team for giving us the chance to spend many more years creating new memories with our complete family. Thanks to them, our grandchildren have their grandfather ('Apa'), and our children have their father and mother to enjoy life with. Doctor Tavares was the absolute best heart surgeon that I could have been blessed with. I was diagnosed with several partially blocked arteries on a Thursday, and Dr. T did my surgery the following Monday. He is a truly brilliant surgeon, but one of the nicest, most down to earth people you have ever met! This world is BLESSED to have him!!

After scheduled appts he keeps everyone in his office waiting 3 plus hrs on him. No one comes out to say anything on what is taking so long. Eventually someone ask the lady up front and he is not here. He is doing surgery. And she says it's like this every Tuesday. Maybe think about putting up a TV for your patients so we don't have to look at the walls. I had to sit on the floor when I got here because there was not 1 chair available! Absolutely terrible!!!!
