St. Joseph Health College Station Hospital - College Station, TX

I gave birth here back in February and it was AMAZING! idk why people talk down on this hospital. L&D was amazing the nurses were so nice and had a lot patients with me as a first time mom. They made switching to the postpartum side so smooth. Those nurses were also really amazing! I stayed for almost a whole week and loved it so much. In my opinion they are better than BSW. The staff doesn't compare! Everyone is nice and patient with you.

Very good physician. Dr Roman is thorough and competent. Five star doctor The referral system is terrible. I have not been able to get in touch with St Joseph Referral and spent days waiting for a return call that has never come. Very poor communication and ability to get scheduled

I walked in ~4:00 am uncontrollably sobbing as I had nearly cut the tip of my finger off in a door. They checked me in, asked the basics (name and bday) all as I'm sobbing and barely comprehensible. They sent us to the waiting room, where I'm dealing with my pain as best I can without meds. The receptionist comes out and asked me to stop cursing. There is one person in the entire waiting room. I immediately left because I should be able to vent my pain without shame. I understand trying to be professional and courteous to others, but like I said, there was only one other person in the entire waiting room, who I'm sure would be understanding of a few curse words if their fingertip was dangling as well. I ended up needing 12 stitches and the doctor told me himself that I nearly cut it off entirely. My family and I have had nothing but horrific experiences here with the staff and medical service, which is extremely concerning to those that can't medically or financially afford anywhere else--they're stuck to deal with this. I chose to go somewhere else that is actually understanding of your pain, strives for the best possible treatment, and ACTUALLY tries to care for you. St Joseph's should be ashamed, for many many reasons besides the one I stated here tonight.

Scheduling for anything at St. Joseph Hospital has turned horrible over the past few years. I avoid the place if possible. The people don't speak good English, are rude, and are very hard to understand. Scheduled an MRI for 12/3/25 at 3 pm When I got to the CS hospital, Tammy in registration said my appointment wasn't until 12/8/25. I showed her the two text messages verifying that my appointment was indeed on 12/3/25 at 3, and she said, "Sorry, I can't help you." Had to call the scheduling number again, explain what happened, and say it was unacceptable. They called the MRI department at CS St. Joseph, and thankfully, the MRI tech was nice enough to see me right then. It's like none of the people work together. The MRI tech said his schedule was empty for the rest of the afternoon. You would think that Tammy at registration would have enough customer service experience to pick up the phone, but instead, she was just RUDE. The MRI Tech was AMAZING, and I would give him five stars. Tammy in Registration 0 stars.

Today, my wife and i Had our fourth baby. While at St. Joseph I was hungry and debating on getting food vs. going out, not wanting to leave my wife so went to the cafeteria and grill and Mrs T made one of the best breakfast tacos I can remember having, she did so good I went back for a burger go lunch while my wife was resting. In a busy season of life having a baby, Mrs. T was kind and went the extra mile for customer service. I recommend the cafeteria to anyone waiting at the hospital but mostly Mrs. T and her great customer service and delicious food. You can tell she cares and that goes a long way!
