I had my first visit with Dr. Adamson today. He listens, asks questions, encourages patient questions, provides detailed explanations, and is overall such a caring and personable cardiologist. His staff were all so friendly, warm, and welcoming. Highly recommend this practice.
In my 30 years of having autoimmune conditions and going to hundreds of doctors, Dr. Adamson is BY FAR my favorite doctor I've ever been to. I happily drive 1.5 hours to see him because he's the only doctor I've felt truly comfortable with and understood. He's the only doctor who genuinely takes the time to listen to my questions, who doesn't dismiss my symptoms or makes me feel crazy, who actually takes the time to explain. I've never felt rushed or walked away feeling like my appointment was a waste of time. I am so lucky to have found him because he is actually dedicated to making me feel better!
Never got the chance to meet the Cardiologist because with the VA Community one is selected for options not choices. Thus, getting an Echo will be limited because they are only done on Mondays and Tuesday therefore if working, those days do not work much like for me, I sadly had to go non-local. Better hours and scheduling with another Clinic downtown San Antonio. In the end, the back end of the office I felt inconvenienced in setting up appointments which will change due to scheduling conflicts with the Echo tech.
Dr. Adamson is a breath of fresh air. He is so thorough and really listens to you! I have had a plethora of previous cardiologists that dismiss me. Not here! We choose to travel to see Dr. Adamson, I literally think he's the best cardiologist I have ever seen. His bedside manner is amazing! Banter is amazing! The staff is super sweet and the office is overall fancy shmancy!
I was scared for my elderly mother when we found Dr Adamson due to her new onset of vascular/cardiac issues and I could tell my mother was scared too. Fortunately, with the front staff & Dr Adamson's professionalism, I felt our anxiety lifting as I felt we were in capable hands. Although all her issues haven't resolved just yet, we have a clear path to treat this and a plan moving forward which is everything! Thanks to Dr A & a special thanks to nurse Monica S. in the front for taking extra time to explain things (over & over) to an old lady with LOTS of medication questions. Thank you for the breath of fresh air in this rush world of healthcare.
