Dr. Wetherold is outstanding! I was able to get in to see her on short notice since I had a concern. She took the time to review my concerns and run some tests and ordered more! She genuinely cares about her patients. She encouraged me to eat out less and I am very appreciative. In my opinion she is one of the best cardiologist and I recommend her highly!

Dr. Wetherold is one of my few doctors that is always pleasant and always comes across as caring. She is firm but not a grump at all; I feel she has my interests at heart. I have some doctors at the top of their field with whom I value their consult but I feel they see me as 'next on the schedule' and not so much an individual and Dr. Wetherold is not like that for which I appreciate. You only get 15 minutes with doctors so go in prepared. Have labs already in hand - call ahead to ask what labs she will want to review and her staff will see that a lab order is placed in plenty of time before the appt. Tip, I now make my primary care annuals close to her appts so that I already have all my labs plus more. She of course focuses on labs that have to do with cardio, her field, but she looks at all the results as a package and I like that. I think she has genuine curiosity about the overall health of her patients and she will flag something that pops up 'odd' to make sure I know it and to recommend I follow up appropriately with whatever specialist it might be. Don't forget to go in with a list of related questions to ensure her time counts to the max because she will go over them. It has been many years she has been my cardiologist and I would be reluctant to find another.

Dr. Wetherold and her team have provided excellent care for all the years that I have been under her care. The Journey Program really helped me get and stay on track. There has never been any judgment when I have not done well. As a cardiologist, she is thorough. She is quick to say when something is out of her specialty and will refer to the provider best suited to help.
