Dr Mehta is an excellent cardiologist and accomplishes what needs to be done to ensure his patients are getting the best care possible. He is easy to talk to and very supportive. He always takes the time to explain things thoroughly. He is a wonderful doctor and I am very lucky he was the one to treat me in the ER when I had a heart attack well over a year ago. My heart health numbers and my progress towards a healthier overall fitness plan have been wonderful under his ongoing treatment of my condition.

I am not at all happy with Dr Mehta. He recommended me get off blood thinners and get a loop recorder implanted in my chest that will monitor my Afib. He did not tell me that I would have a monthly bill for the recorder to be monitored and that my insurance might not pay for the monitoring. Now I have a monthly $50 copay for the rest of my life!
Also, Dr Mehta kept me waiting at the hospital for the procedure hours before he showed up. When he did show up they had put a curtain up at my neck so that I never even saw Dr Mehta nor did he ever acknowledge me even when I said something to him about not being sure that was him or not, he ignored me.
At my follow up appt it was not with him and I again said something. She said he's right here do you want to say hi? I said yes and as we walked out of the exam room he was on a laptop at the end of the hall and she said there he is. He barely looked up and kind of nodded at me and went right back to the laptop.
Now I have this this thing implanted in me and I can't afford the monthly charge which I was not told I would have so I could research and make an informed decision about. Now I don't know what to do and I feel like he must be getting some kind of kick back on these implants or something.
