Dr. Otero pretty much saved my life! He will be my hero for a long time. He was very straight forward with providing info on my condition. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a good heart doctor.

From check in the staff is helpful and nice. The nurse is friendly and my husband and I enjoyed her care, and EKG was taken & has good customer interaction. Dr Otero is friendly and made me feel at ease. He explained things in a way I understood. My husband asked a question and Dr was informative. The last check out was great. She explained the tests and gave me paperwork. Explained about making appointment for the tests. She took her time and we didn't feel rushed. Even though it was 5:58 pm. Thank you & We'll be back end of month after having several tests. Hopefully for good results. The whole staff we met were friendly, helpful and kind.

Dr Otero has been my cardiologist for over 15 years. I have never had a more compassionate, knowledgeable and personable Dr. He is never in a hurry, takes time to listen, and gives unparalleled care. I count myself fortunate to be one of his patients.

I've been seeing Dr. Otero for a number of years and have always found the doctor thorough in his examinations and very courteous and professional with a warm bedside manner. The staff at his office are very helpful and easy to speak with.

Their offices never called to schedule any of my tests as promised. It's been a week and I'm still waiting (they said they would do it the next day). Waited over an hour to see the doctor. Doctor immediately saw my higher than normal LDL levels, and without any further offer to test for familial hypercholesterolemia wanted to immediately put me on statins despite my insistence that it was likely high due to my carnivore-like diet. Didn't ask if I tested fasted or not (I didn't). And didn't want to consider offering a retest after dietary changes. My LDL was within a much lower range a year ago. Bedside manner was good despite making me feel like I'm somehow on the cusp of death, but I'm skeptical of trusting a doctor who doesn't understand how diet, low FT3, or mast cell activation syndrome flares can affect LDL levels. Also wanted me to lower my testosterone HRT (which is the lowest level I can be comfortable at) because my hematocrit was at 45%. That's still within range... Austin doctors never fail to disappoint.
