Thanks to the surgical team and all the nurses that helped me during this difficult time. I pray God blesses those hands that take care of so many patients everyday. My stay at NWTXH was the best. Without you I would not be here today. Sammy was an amazing nurse and always made me smile when I felt down! Thanks a million to my surgeons who gave me another chance at life !

I don't take writing this review lightly! I had an extremely difficult experience in the ER. I was transferred to NWTH from BSA for a Hand Surgeon. I had a broken finger and 5 inch laceration on my hand as a result of a dog bite. The admitting nurses were kind and supportive.. but the ER physician was not. He informed me that the only reason the transfer center accepted me was to make money. He went on to tell me my injury was "no big deal..it's gonna suck for 4-6 weeks." He forced my broken finger straight which was excruciating.. I begged him to stop, but he continued, and did so w/o pain medication. He went ahead and stitched up my laceration, and told me to follow up with the hand surgeon the following week. I politely questioned him multiple times, but to no avail. After the sutures, he sent an LVN in to splint my hand. The splinting was so painful as it had now been 7 hours since the injury and my hand was extremely swollen. When I asked for pain medication, the ER doctor told me no stating I might have a reaction once I leave . Sadly, when I saw the hand surgeon 5 days later, he informed me he did not realize my fracture was a result of the dog bite..he stated my injury should NOT have been stitched up and I should have had surgery the night of my injury (which is what I expected to happen). My experience was sadly extremely painful and disappointing.

Went in cause I got burned. They called me back for vitals and looked at the area that was burned and said it wasn't too bad. Sent me back to the waiting area and took me back pretty fast. They put me in a room and on the stand across from the bed was 3 vials of another patient's blood and a cup with urine. All items had the other patients information on it. Then the nurse came in and seen the items and made a look like oh crap and said let me get these out of the way. They came back with some ointment and told me what to do with it and walked out. I over heard him talking to im assuming the dr out in the hall and he asked what about the patient with the burns and she said I already told him it wasn't even bad discharge him. So I was sent home and today I woke up and theres green puss like liquid coming out of one of the more severe parts of the burns. I feel like seeing a dr was part of the process of going to a hospital. I was under the impression that the lady who looked at my burns was a receptionist cause she was the one checking people in and never once stated she was a dr. Maybe she was but im not sure? Either way I felt like I was not properly treated and hopefully this does not become infected because of negligence by the dr on duty.

5 on the floor nursing staff, pre-op , admissions and just all the way to the housekeeping crew! Just a really great crew who care and do everything you make your stay as comfortable as possible! They really do go above and beyond and they're very much appreciated more than they will ever know! The cafeteria delivery and pick up crew was amazing and also 5's but the attitude and actions of the cafeteria employee who was at the register named Rhonda was totally unacceptable and uncalled for! I told the house supervisor to watch that video. Not only was she the only rude person that we've encountered in your hospital, but she also picked cups up off the ground and stuck them back in the dispenser for the next person to grab. The cooks just didn't do as well this visit either. I don't think in the 5 days we received one good plate for either of us and send back almost all. I had to leave the building and go pay extra for our meals. That has changed... We stay often and it's always been great! But overall because of the rest of the hospital staff we had a great visit! They do deserve an award of some type for always going above and beyond! This visit was SICU staff, The Cardiac floor has always been amazing as well.
