Northwest Texas Healthcare System: Emergency Room

I had excellent care by a very professional staff. The nurses always came to my room asking see if I needed anything without me having to call them. I had several physicians that came to my room and I was very pleased with their input on my illness. The food was just as I wanted it, and the server was very polite while asking if she could get me anything else. The nice young lady in housekeeping introduced herself and left me her business card and said to call her if anything needed attention in my room. I've been in NWTH several times and have always had excellent care. It's my preferred hospital.

My sister and I would like to leave a 5 star review to last nights receptionist/rn with the red hair. We didnt get her name but would like to acknowledge her kindness and attentiveness to not only us but to all the patients.She truly showed us empathy/sympathy through the night.All the girls that worked up front were great as well. Lastly, I would like to thank and apologize to the nurses who worked my with my brother. The circumstances does not justify his behavior and we would like to apologize. I cant imagen what yall go through on a daily. We truly appriciate all the staff for their hard work and help.

Went in on November 15 for complications with a hernia. They literally had me in there for almost 4 hours just to tell me I was constipated when that wasn't the issue. Ended up having to go to another doctor two days later to get an abdominal scan just to figure out I had a umbilical hernia. They didn't take the situation seriously. Now it's the 24th and I'm still in so much pain I can't even walk upright without being in intense pain.

So they don't want you showing your pain, but they wont give you something for pain when you ask. Also, love the playful atmosphere around here while everyone's in pain and waiting.

The nurses and staff are very attentive and compassionate. I know that they have a job that is very physically and emotionally demanding and they shoulder the burden with grace and humor. I am very thankful for them and the work that they do. The facility is nicely maintained and the housing crew does a great job keeping it in tip top shape. A nice experience overall. Thank you!
