I had the absolute best experience ever at this hospital. Literally everyone from triage, transport, nurses, Drs, mobility, nutrition, everyone extremely professional. I want to give a special thank you to ER Nurse Hunter (or Logan), fifth floor nurses Ivory and Anjelica, and the entire ER staff for caring enough to figure out what was hurting me. I am a nurse and this team and these wonderful nurses are why people respect our profession and why I love being a part of this crazy nurse world, it's tough and only the best can practice professionalism at all times under that much pressure. Thank you so much BSA for the best care ever and I am healing well!

Nurses were all great and sweet. However, we waited several days for biopsy results and when we did it was only after a nursing student told us the results came back the day before, and we had to ask for them from the doctor. Furthermore, a week later we found out from an unrelated doctor, but in the same BSA system who was able to pull that biopsy/scope report, that my dad had a mass in his esophagus. Why the hospital doctor never bothered to share that will forever be a mystery.

BEWARE OF DR. CHASTAIN. I have had two terrible experiences here at BSA. My worst experience was in L&D last week delivering my baby. During my first encounter with Dr. Chastain, he asked how I was doing, to which I replied "good, how are you?" And he said "sober." He then performed the most painful cervical check I've ever had, after which he said he "couldn't find" my cervix, leading me to question if he truly was sober. Thankfully, he didn't deliver my baby. However, he was the doctor on-call to do the circumcision. When he arrived he was making crude jokes about penises. After the painful cervical exam he preformed on me, I did not trust him with my baby out of my sight. He told me I was not allowed to be there for the circumcision (which is odd because my husband has been present for both of our other sons' circumcisions.) I ended up declining the circumcision because I did not trust him. I'm glad I declined because I have since heard multiple stories of Dr. Chastain's unprofessionalism and roughness with other patients, including circumcision and birth injuries. My other bad experience with BSA occurred back in May, when I had to take my child's stool sample to the lab because he was having severe stomach issues that we wanted to try to resolve quickly. After several days I was informed they needed a new stool sample because they performed the wrong test on the first sample. Fast forward 6 months, and I'm still receiving a bill for both the test they messed up on, and the one we actually needed. I call the billing department every month but they can't seem to get it resolved. The only reason I'm giving BSA 2 stars is because the L&D nurses did a great job.

This review is specifically for BSA patient meals @ ext.3663. Becky is a god send. Becky was warm, courteous, understanding and more than patient as I placed my mother's orders(RM 404, 9.20.2025, 12.30pm). It is already tough having a parent in the hospital however having people such as Becky helps eases my mind knowing my mother is in great hands. Thank you BSA staff members I can't remember their names for taking care of my mother and an extra thank you to Becky.

Checked in with Tinesa, who was also able to answer any questions I had. The nurses Jasmine and Marisa as well as MD. Obokhare took great care of me for my endoscopy and colonoscopy. Highly recommend for anyone needing those services.
