I would not recommend Dr. Mitesh Solanki at Tennova Heart-North. During my heart catheterization, which was extremely painful, he repeatedly threatened to switch from the radial artery to the femoral artery. I was not moving, but I was making some noise because of the discomfort. His tone and attitude came across as unnecessarily harsh and gave the impression that he was more focused on control than patient care. Although he did listen to some of my concerns, he always seemed to be in a rush to leave the room. Every visit felt hurried, leaving little time to fully discuss my condition or ask questions. He also refused to complete work-related paperwork or provide doctor's notes, as if those tasks were beneath him. At one appointment, he said he wanted to see me back in a month and mentioned the possibility of starting new medications, specifically Entresto and Farxiga. He also recommended cardiac rehab. I was wait-listed at Tennova, so I chose another facility. When I arrived for the intake appointment, I was told I could not begin the program without cardiologist approval. I called his office during the appointment and was told I would need to be seen in person first. When I came in for the follow-up a month later, I was informed that I was no longer a candidate for Entresto. The entire visit felt unnecessary, especially since it was also when I brought up the cardiac MRI again. Speaking of the cardiac MRI, my first two requests through the patient portal were ignored. The third request in person was met with agreement. The fourth was refused. The fifth was again met with agreement. By the sixth request, at my most recent appointment, his attitude changed completely. He acted as if I was wasting his time. He finally told me to inform the front desk where to send the order, but the staff member said it had not been sent and that he would handle it. It never happened, and his staff said at the time that he would be away for three weeks. The lack of communication was overwhelming. I have since switched to a different cardiologist who immediately completed the necessary paperwork. My cardiac MRI was scheduled without delay and was completed within a reasonable time frame. Earlier in my treatment, there was also a supposed insurance issue at one visit. I was not even allowed to check in for about thirty minutes while they tried to resolve it. I was given no explanation and was left completely in the dark, despite asking for clarification. I have never experienced anything like that with any other provider. More recently, a representative from BlueCare Tennessee asked whether I had tried reaching out to my former cardiologist about a test I needed. Based on her advice, I decided to contact his office again even though I had already established care with a new cardiologist. I did not realize it was possible to have more than one cardiologist at a time, but she explained that it was. When Dr. Solanki called me, his manner was dismissive and disrespectful. The interaction was shockingly unprofessional and left me questioning why he chose to reach out at all if he had no intention of offering assistance. Unfortunately, this is not even a full account of everything I experienced under his care. I initially thought I had found a great cardiologist, but that quickly changed. Dr. Solanki's rushed manner, condescending tone, lack of follow-through, and overall unprofessionalism have left me completely disgusted with the level of care I received. I would never recommend him or Tennova Heart-North to anyone seeking genuine, respectful, and competent medical care.
Great guy that cares about his patients. He is never in a rush once in the room. I appreciate him as I feel like he looks for solutions that can be done without medicine. If it's needed, he will prescribe it Thankful I found him.
Immediate response to my issue with outstanding results. Dr. Solanki and his staff are most competent and demonstrate a degree of concern for the wellbeing of the patient which any health care provider would be proud to possess. I feel most fortunate to have received my emergency care from these capable people.
Checked in and was seen just a few minutes after my scheduled appointment time. I did try to Complete the Patient portal, however, I kept getting stuck at prescription part, and it wouldn't let me go any further. So I just gave up. The staff here is very friendly and doctor Solanki took very good care of me when I had my heart attack. My aftercare appointment went very well. I was in and out of there within twenty minutes.
