Dr. Sreekumar Subramanian is board certified in cardiac surgery and thoracic surgery. He joined the Tristar Cardiovascular Surgery practice at Centennial Medical Center in 2015. After joining the US Air Force, he was deployed to Liberia and Kazakhstan where he served as a combat trauma surgeon in Balad, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Dr. Subramanian also served as the Thoracic Surgery residency program director and was the local principal investigator of an FDA IDE sutureless aortic valve study. He has authored or co-authored over 60 articles and abstracts in the scientific literature. In his spare time, Dr. Subramanian enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.

Incredible Doctor with great compassion for patients. He found my heart problems, discussed plans and did my heart surgery. Followed up with me personally and stayed on top of my health condition and managed problems that occurred. I was very aprehensive (scared) but once I talked with Dr Subramanian explaining the procedure and his calm demeanor I felt more calm and confident. Dr. Sub gave time for questions and lifted our confidence when he acknowledged his faith in our God. We also want to give a high praise to whom ever did the skin closure on the chest !!
