Dr. A. Thomas McRae, III, MD, FACC is a native of Valdosta, Georgia. After graduating from Emory University, he attended Mercer University School of Medicine where he was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the recipient of the Physician's Physician Award. He subsequently served a Residency in Internal Medicine at the Barnes Hospital Medicine Service at Washington University Medical Center where he was honored with the Best Teaching Resident Award. He later completed a clinical cardiology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. He served as Chief Fellow at the Cleveland Clinic from 2000 until 2002.

Dr McRae is a kind, thoughtful and skilled physician. His patience in answering every question gave me great assurance that he understood my need to be very well informed. what a joy he is and how lucky he is am I to have him manage my cardiac issues!
Dr. McRae is the absolute best. He is very knowledgeable and does not talk over your head. His office staff is wonderful wonderful as well. The nurses in the hospital say Dr. McRae is one of the most helpful and considerate doctors.
Sherri his nurse was kind and made me feel comfortable . Since this was my first visit with this Dr. I was a little nervous. He was attentive and asked the right questions. I highly recommend this office! If you can get an appointment, due to him being so good. He's always booked!
