My mother went to Dr. Chiu To for a biopsy for nerve and muscle diagnosis. She was sent home with NO proper instructions. Her husband was only told she made it out of surgery and to bring my mother back in about 15 days to have the stitches removed. My mother was NEVER even told that she would have stitches. When she got home, blood was just running from her stitches. She was given no paperwork or instructions on what needed to be done to the incision and when she called the doctors office back to receive instruction, she was left a message from an employee named "Keisha" that said that she should ask her husband what the doctor told him. My mother lives with her husband so of course she asked him and he told her all he knew or could remember. It's not his job to tell her what medical professionals should already be trained to do. I thought it was very unprofessional for any nurse, receptionist, or assistant to tell a patient "to ask their spouse for instructions" when the clinic had been called and asked specifically what are the instructions that should be followed. My mother has blood all over her sheets and we are still not sure what should be done for her incision. I am very upset and that is an UNDERSTATEMENT...
