Dr. Jerry B. Gooch, MD

11 years ago Dr. Gooch successfully performed aeortic valve replacement for me at Germantown Methodist Hospital. Now 11 years after the first surgery my Cardiologist, Richard Gordon MD diagnosed me with pulmonary hypertension and in need of a mitral valve replacement surgery, a complex and risky procedure. He called upon Dr Gouch one again and Dr. Gooch referred me to Dr Barton at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The surgery was successfully completed on June 26, 2016, and I am recovering well. This is by far the best doctor I've had dealings with. My husband had no symptoms and drove himself to ER. Will not disclose hospital, as it was the most awful experience. Bunch of political bs with insurance. After we finally got situated, we met Dr. Gooch. Love him! Turned out my husband had lots of blockage and was lucky to have made it. He needed an endarectomy and a CABG as well. Dr. Gooch is a superb doctor with great bedside manner. It took him only 6 hours to do both. My husband came out with flying colors. This was done on December 14, 2017. Today the scars are minimal and he is doing great. We are very thankful to Dr. Gooch for everything. Wonder doctor! If you need a heart surgeon, he's your guy!
