Carlo Rosati, MD

Dr. Carlo Maria Rosati saved my husband Dave's life twice. He kept us updated and gave me his cell phone number with instructions to call with any questions or concerns. I never had to use it because we saw him every day, often several times a day. He takes the time to explain what is happening, what he is doing, and why. He answers every question and also makes a real connection with his patients and their families. He is one of the kindest and most caring people I have ever met. Dr. Rosati is a brilliant, kind, amazing, "rockstar" surgeon. Although I hope we never need his services again, he is THE cardiothoracic surgeon to have as far I'm concerned. He will always have a special place in my heart. I don't think we'll ever be able to fully express our gratitude to Dr. Rosati. Patients and their families can rest assured they will receive the best of care when in Dr. Rosati's highly skilled and caring hands.

On April 18th, 2024 my husband was admitted to the VA hospital in Memphis for an aortic valve replacement. He coded as soon as they put him under. After stabilizing him they continued with the surgery and afterwards could not get him off bypass. They transferred him to Baptist east and put him on ecmo treatment. Dr Rosati was his Dr. we had a lot of scary moments where Dr Rosati saved his life. That following Monday he went to surgery and had what's referred to as the commando surgery.. I have since learned that only a couple surgeons in Memphis have ever performed this surgery. It took 9 hours to complete and my husband came out of surgery with his chest still open and on ecmo. Dr Rosati saved his life on numerous occasions within the next 3 months of hospitalization. All the while constantly calling and texting me to keep me updated. Now a year later, my husband has made a full recovery and because of the exceptional care he received I will enjoy what I hope is many more years together. I can not say enough about Dr Rosati and his team.. they are all exceptionally talented people. I never felt like I had to bed for answers and I always felt like I was kept well informed, with the good news and the bad news. My husband owes his life to Dr Rosati We will forever be grateful for his expertise

Dr. Carlo Rosati is an excellent Cardiovascular Surgeon. Dr. Rosati introduced himself and his staff, explained what needed to be done, why and how. This was not my first cardio experience and some previous experiences were very traumatizing. He was very comforting, supportive and knowledgeable of my past cardio history. I felt at ease and very comfortable interacting with Dr. Rosati, he listened and responded to concerns, he's very detailed and confident with his process. I didn't feel like just another patient, I felt important and my life really mattered. Dr. Rosati had a note pad and I was in it. I had prayed along with my pray warriors that God would take care of me. I knew when Dr. Rosati pulled out this instrument and listened to the blood flowing through my arm that I was in good hands and everything was going to be alright. Thus, the journey began. The testing, vitals, medications and the collaboration with other healthcare professional teams to make sure the process was ready. Dr. Rosati performed amazing surgery on me. I feel extremely well and my heart is functioning better than ever. Dr. Rosati has continued to check and monitor my recovery progress. I thank God for Dr. Rosati and to God be the Glory !!!

Dr. Rosati saved my fathers life! He is absolutely "first in class" not only in his surgeon skills but when it comes to bedside manners, communication, compassion...he has it all and it truly comes from the heart. He has set the bar extremely high for all the providers out there. If we could all be as caring and compassionate as Dr. Rosati this world would be a much better place.

Dr. Rosati performed emergency surgery on my husband. He not only saved his life, he remained actively involved in his care during the 15 days my husband was in the hospital. He is very generous with his time. Dr. Rosati is serious about his work but has a cheerful, positive attitude that helps make stressful situations easier. He is an excellent communicator and always seemed happy to answer our many questions. Even after discharge from the hospital, he followed my husband's progress closely. Dr. Rosati consistently went above and beyond to insure that my husband had the best possible outcome. He's our hero!
