Dr Hurst was very good with explaining everything to me and my son when we took him in for an appointment concerning his heart issue.

Dr. Sharma and Dr. Hurst jointly almost killed my son in 2018 because they were too prideful to admit when something was outside of what they originally thought they could handle. My son was inpatient on the regular floor for over a week with his heart rate in the 300's and O2 that kept dropping (among other issues). He was less than a month removed from a major open heart surgery (performed at Cincinnati children's) and was a very fragile infant. They were condescending to me the entire inpatient visit and refused our request to transfer our child to a facility that could handle his needs. After a long traumatic fight we finally got our son back up to Cincinnati where they had a room in the CICU waiting for him. He had to have life saving procedures done (which wouldn't have happened if we listened to Sharma and Hurst while at ETCH) and it is suspected that the aneurysm he developed in his heart was likely, at least in part, due to the prolonged period of duress he was under during this stay. What should have been several years before his next surgery ended up just being months due to the suspected damage done. I wouldn't recommend these two to my worst enemy and years later it still shakes me to my core when I think about it. This was before they combined the ped cardiology offices. In my experience both Bremer and Liske (at the time in a separate office from Sharma and Hurst) were very kind and informative and knew their own limits and when to refer a child out. If you have to see someone locally, please take caution and choose either Bremer or Liske.

I want to Thank all the nurses and doctor for helping take care of my son to the fullest. He was so terrified and upset but each one including the receptionist was so caring and understanding and helped him overcome the fear! They all where beyond amazing and I can't thank them all enough!!

Dr Hurst is kind and explains everything well. We had a mix up with our appointment time and they were gracious enough to fit us in. We highly recommend them!

The follow up exam was handled with extreme efficiency. Everyone involved with the appointment were very kind and informative.
